A great beginning to a new series! The was a fun, second-chance love match that took 7 years to happen.

Nine years ago, Rebecca Fortescue was in love with Lord Leonard Moncrieff & was enjoying a privileged, fun filled life with friends, family & then suddenly it changed; her father whisked her & her Mother off to Italy after he stole money from several people & it was discovered. Rebecca didn't even have a chance to say good-bye to Leo & she never contacted him. Now, her father has been caught &

There was nothing in this book that ‘wowed’ me. It was a mediocre wasn’t garbage and it wasn’t blow my was ok

This book is worth a read but didn’t really have me excited about interacting with the book where I could not put it down (skimmed through parts of the book). It lacks the excitement and well roundness of my personal markers for a great read throughout the book.

personal markers for a great read...1. smart and engaging writing, 2. Humorous, 3. sexy interactio

This is the first book in the new series The Lord of Scandal Row and if this book is an indication of the series, I cannot wait to read the other books. This book is about Leo who is a Rogue and because of a scandal in town listened to his mother and left town. While he was at his brother’s house, he runs into Rebecca who was his sweetheart when they were sixteen. Rebecca has been out of the country because her father was a scam artist and owed everyone money. He was recently hung. Rebecca came ...more

Leo, Lord Leonard Montcrieff, had quite a reputation of a rake. He was definitely the love them and leave them type. He had been summoned to their estate in Cumbria by his mother. His two brothers, Alexander and Adam were also similarly summoned. Rebecca Fortescue has also returned to Cumbria, but she has her own reason for being there. Rebecca and Leo have a past but that was when they were teenagers. Rebecca is quite determined to achieve her goal and she needs to be brave to do this. Leo has ...more

Quick sweet read. Leo is a bit of a rascal and a rogue. Rebecca is trying to repair the damage done by her father in the village she lived. Reunited after many years these two have a quick adventure to find a hidden diamond while Leo tries to stay out of trouble. It is filled with lighthearted fun on their way to a happy ending.

THE TAMING OF A WICKED ROGUE is the first book in The Lords of Scandal Row series. I’m sure these stories will each stand alone, but I won’t want to miss them. I recommend reading in the order of release.

Amazing second-chance, not just for the romance between Rebecca and Leo, but also Rebecca’s re-entry into the English society she left behind when her father secreted her mother and her in Italy.

Like many people, Rebecca has taken the world on her shoulders. She feels responsible for her father’

A charming short romance about the reunion of childhood sweethearts after they were unceremoniously parted a decade previously due to her father's misdeeds.

After her father's death his many other crimes and deceptions come to light, and Rebecca tries to secretly return to her childhood home in the Lakes to seek a hidden cache in the hope of making some amends for his behaviour.

Leo, who had turned into a love-em-and-leave-em rake since her departure, is unexpectedly rusticating from a London scan

The love Leo thought he had lost, loved him still!

This was a short story about two young lovers who had vowed to marry but were separated by circumstances beyond their control. Rebecca loved Leo as only a young woman can. At sixteen, she was too young to marry Leo, the noble son, of the Lord of Eastwick Hall. Nine years later, she returned to right a wrong her father committed but instead was found by Leo hiding in his stable. She had come in search of a diamond and other items of v

I really enjoyed reading this suspenseful, emotional book. I found Rebecca and Leo both remarkable in their personalities and loyalties. Regardless of the damage her father inflicted on so many town people she braved going back incognito to try and find a treasure of her fathers. I admired her that she wanted to do as much as she could to right some of the wrongs her father had done starting with her mother and half siblings. Leo had become a rake since the last he saw Rebecca. He tried to drown ...more

Short before bed kinda story, one steamy scene and some drama with a side of jealousy from Rebecca when she spies some events. Good story.

Rebecca is dealing with the sins her father has made before his death and she is on a treasure hunt to save face and to give her mom relief form scandal and for the other woman her father lies to and saving her half siblings from a life in the poor house. But her hunting isn’t going as planned and now a meddling man is causing her to feel what she left behind

This is entertaining, romantic and interesting. Leo and Rebecca fell in love when they were teens. They had plans to marry, but then Rebecca's father suddenly whisked the family away. Not knowing what happened to her, Leo sought to forget her by becoming a rake, never letting himself care about anyone. When a scandal sends Leo home from London, the last thing he thought would happen would be for Rebecca to show back up as suddenly as she left. She was in a sad state when he found her, so he offe ...more

I liked both the H/h. They had a love when she was 16 and she was forced to leave in the middle of the night because of her father. She didn't explain why she left and the H's heart still feels the pain, 9 years later.

The h comes back to town to try and find something to help all the people her father bilked. She meets up with the H and the romance picks up again. The h's is aware he has an awful reputation and is definitely a Rogue. They have a misunderstanding and it is resolved quickly.

The tale starts with Leo giving his last bed partner the heave-ho and off to the country he goes. Not that he is pleased about that but a son must do what a mother asks. As the first chapter progress, you will be introduced to the reasons for the challenges in Rebecca's life. With a mystery to solve Leo and Rebecca will work together as they also work through their relationship. It was a very good book I spent a lovely afternoon with it. I enjoyed the characters a

I really loved this book. It is short, sweet, steamy, emotional, and occasionally humorous. All that in under 90 pages? Yes, and extremely satisfying! I won't describe the story, since Amazon and other reviewers do a good job of that. I will just say that the characters and the writing are extraordinary. I fell in love with Leo, rake though he may be. I loved seeing him and Rebecca reconnect and work through the hurt and misunderstandings of the past. So sweet, and with a perfect ending.
