Natalie Wilder is the resident witch of Wolf Mountain. Her mother turns up out of the blue and settles in for the Christmas period. Whilst there was a pie baking competition being held at the lodge, a poltergeist went crazy and broke a pile of things including making a large hole in the floor. They discovered a secret room under the floor, containing something nasty. This leads to a mystery from about 150 years previous. Meantime, Blake (Natalie's fiancé - who is cursed) is getting worse and worse. Natalie feels that she may lose him to this curse. She has to solve the old mystery and find a way to cure Blake of his curse. No problems.

Natalie has her hands full this time around as a poltergeist interrupts the Wolf Mountain annual Pumpkin Pie Bake Off. Then she stumbles onto a body in part of the lodge she didn't know was there. With the help of her BFF, mother who holds a seance and her protective Rottweiler they have a lot to do to track down this crime and stop the strange things that are happening on Wolf Mountain. This story is fast paced with lots going on and a hard book to put down. After everything in this story I just am on pins and needles to see what is going to happen next so I hope the next book isn't too far around the corner.

Ghost Witch is the fifth book in the Carolina Witch Cozy Mystery series and is a great paranormal cozy mystery.

I loved this book. The characters are well developed, quirky, and likable. The storyline is well crafted and engaging, with humour, ghosts, curses, and a 150-year-old mystery to be solved. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Another great read!

A quick read with a satisfying plot. Fun characters with interesting personalities. Each book, in the series, gets better than the one before. Only one tiny nitpick, Benjamin doesn’t itch his ear he scratches it. And he scratches it because it itches.

Wilder witches: past and present

Could not put this book down. Enjoy the story even if I wanted to curse out the Fairy King and Elena. Plus poor Blake. It really is a story worth reading to find out how curses come back to bite you. Enjoy!

And January Daphne does it again! Love the mystery, the small town, the characters and their development. Lots of twists and turns, humor, danger and, of course, a terrific cliffhanger. Can't wait for Book 6.
