not the best written book i've read. she makes good points, but i kept getting annoyed with the contrived situations she would create to share her points.

Good information, pretty much a duplicate of the 'male version,' but still good points. The story/setting is a bit contrived. Fast read.

I got halfway through the book and had to let it go. I could never really get into it and felt the scenarios were extremely exaggerated.

Nope. Nothing new and not inspirational.

Good but predictable
The story was a bit forced but the message was clear and good.
I would recommend it for first time management

Monday Morning Leadership for Women is a very quick read. It is not very well written and I thought I would put it aside several times as I became quite annoyed with the book the more I read. It has scenarios that are just not realistic and feel fabricated and not something that everyday women could or would relate to. Also, there is nothing new presented that working women have not heard or read in many other iterations. Monday Morning Leadership by David Cottrell is on my list of books to read, and I am hoping that it is much better.

Found this in my parents' basement, and it was easy to read although the premise is cheesy. It had some good mentorship / life / corporate America tips that could apply to anyone, and I am not sure why it was directly marketed towards women other than the fact it contains two women as the main characters. This book also has one of my all time favorite lines when the main protagonist gets to Starbucks and says "Amazing [...] Starbucks has become such a phenomenon." Overall, a solid easy read book, but more importantly, it got me to 20 books read for the year!

I loved this book...it really made a lot of great points, especially for women (and moms) with aspiring careers.
