This was an amazing story. I was very well entertained throughout this entire book. This book is a standalone. I didn’t consider too long. I often find myself hating when books come out in 3,4,5 or even 6 parts. Then some parts be on Kindle Unlimited and some don’t like I HATE that!!! That’s why I don’t finish reading some authors catalog. Like I am not going to pay for all these different reading platforms. Anyways, I digress. Just give me a stand-alone!!! This was an amazing storyline. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end.

I love love love Taylor for Candice. I don’t believe Taylor was pussy whipped. I believe he was in love and because they were meant for each other he could feel the love she had for him. She didn’t have to say it. Now Candice’s mama, she was one fucked up individual. I get that she wanted to protect her daughter from being hurt the way she had, but she went about it all wrong and completely fucked her daughter up in the process.

I know we touched a little bit Dre’s and Chelsea’s love story but I would love to read their entire story. Like how did they hook up? Who started it? And she knew he was bisexual before they ever even hooked up so what was going through her mind there. And why did she explode when he asked for a threesome with a man. YOU KNEW HE WAS BISEXUAL!!!

Sending Ayanna to a nunnery, was the only part I didn’t like or understand. Like she was all drama before and was never going to leave Taylor alone and ends up helping him and then joining a nunnery??? Like, she even had to be forced to sign the divorce papers. Idk 🤷🏽‍♀️ that was the only confusing thing to me. And…and… I would have loved to read a story where Aya finds her true love. The man God made for her.

But yeah. Umm… 💯 ⭐️ 📖!! Definitely on my can read again list!!!

Good book...

This is my first read by this Queen and in the beginning I was hooked. This book could've been shorter, like don't get me wrong it was a good story, it was just too drawn out.

Taylor was a great guy who tried helping a friend and it back fired. He fell in love with Candice who do to her moms own heartbreak and toxic ways left her closed off from love.
Ayana the selfish gold digger who was confused about everything but securing her future with a man who didn't want her.

Candice really pissed me off a lot in this book. Granted her mom did a number on her as a kid but dang as some point in your adult life you gotta start living for you and making your own decisions. Then the situation with Taylor was blown out cause hake she knew her cousin was in an arranged marriage but still acted surprised when it came out that the guy was Taylor.

Hallie, smdh for the power of the 'P'.

I loved George, Dre and Chelsea they were great friends and kept it💯.

Eh 🤷🏾‍♀️

I've read other books by this author and became a fan of her writing style and ability to tell a story extremely well. However, this book was very disappointing. The storyline was derivative, the story itself was drawn out, and the ending was anticlimactic. I flipped through majority of the book because the sex scenes were repetitive and didn't seem to push the story forward other than being a erotic novel.

I found it hard to like or sympathize with Candice. Granted, her mom brainwashed her, but she needed to grow up! She was way too stubborn.
Taylor was unbelievably 😻 whipped and I didn't get a clear understanding of what he loved about Candice besides sex.

Overall, I was underwhelmed with this book particularly, but I'm still a fan of this queen! I will read more of her work in the future.

Deceptive in the worst way

Utterly ridiculous! First of all, I don’t know how I even ended up downloading this book! I do my research and read the description thoroughly, so I guess I was slipping. While I only made it to the 15-20% mark, I had had enough at that point! These is grown people acting like teenagers! Like, who wrote this book a high schooler?! It’s a big no for me 👎🏽
