The Jackson MacKenzie Chronicles: Peace at a Cost
War – What happens to the soldiers who fight them? Do they just go home and ride off into the sunset? Do they return to their families and a normal life? Or do they have an internal war? Trying to come to terms with what happened to them and their buddies in a war that no one wanted. Scars made not only outside but inside. Called baby killer, murderer and so many others vile names. Ignored and sometimes abused by the very system they gave their oath and sometimes their lives to protect. Lt. Colonel Jackson MacKenzie is one of those men. He gave all on many occasions and nearly gave his life to honor his oath and the men with which he served in Korea and Vietnam. Only to be betrayed by those above him. Those who know the truth but refuse to come forward. Honor, Duty, Country, Loyalty aren’t just words to him. They are his life. His problem, does he follow his heart and stand by his duty or disappear into his mind and let his demons take over? His other choice, live the rest of his life as a simple cowboy hiding out on a cattle ranch in Montana? It is a decision both hard and easy. And one he has to make or lose himself entirely.

Get ready for the ride of your life. This book has everything. CIA, cover-ups, espionage, and plain old fun. There is also tragedy that will tug at your heartstrings. Angel Giacomo hit it out of the park with this one. Follow along as Jackson MacKenzie finds that getting the information to clear his name is like getting blood from a stone. He finds himself in the middle of CIA operations trying to get that information. Follow Jackson as he finds himself part of history while trying to remain totally in the background. A fun and exciting book that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. Highly recommended. Have fun. I did.

"Deep Impact"
Reading the second chapter of the Jackson MacKenzie Chronicles literally blew me away, the plot is gripping and the fast-paced action is what makes you turn the pages fast.
What price does Freedom have?
Peace always has a price, too high, but there are men, there are soldiers who are willing to pay that price, with their own blood, despite the Army, their Country, has turned its back on them. There is a deep Patriotism and a sense of Duty without limits. I love it.
These Soldiers, together have faced Hell on many occasions, share many bonds and also share the special and profound relationship of the men who have been engaged in battle.
The struggle for Colonel MacKenzie's survival continues, his battle against his inner demons, his soul is wounded, his spirit betrayed, by the army and by those who know the truth, and they are silent about this infamous accusation against him and his men. But this does not prevent him, once again, from serving his country, it does not prevent him from respecting that Oath, which he pronounced so proudly... ready to Sacrifice himself for a greater good, Justice, the Freedom of his Country. It is the Right Choice.
The author shows us in surprising details, taking a cue from history, trying to be faithful to real events that have shocked the world in order to overwhelm the intensity of the reading. Great. I think the author has carried out careful research on the settings and on the dynamics and techniques of military training. I appreciate it. There will be no lack of battle sounds, tensions, helicopters in flight, which include dangerous, breathless actions, explosions, and firefights… and losses, yes losses. And those who silently feel guilty ... Death is part of Life, even through the pages of a book.
A powerful and engaging and at the same time stimulating book, a book that strikes in the spirit, shaking the deepest emotions of the reader. I cannot describe what I felt crossing the pages of this book, it is not simple but I felt a strong empathy towards the protagonist, I was intrigued by the new emotional ties and by the entry of an unexpected character and not only, respect, pain , anger and despair ... strong interest in the evolution of the story, amazing how through all these dramatic situations the author manages to insert and weave moments that ease the tension, that bring a smile back to the reader, a little joy, but above all moments that warm the heart… Amazing.
Truly an exciting story of courage and sacrifice.
You can't open a book without learning something. I am part of everything I have read.
I will re-read this story and can't wait to pre-order this author's new work whenever possible.

Peace at a Cost is full of action-packed heroes doing the right thing for the right reason. While Jackson MacKenzie and his team are on the run from some parts of the US government, other parts understand their value and continue to call on them when required. See how this brave team overcomes pain, loss, and disadvantages to continually come through for their country.

Embark on an exhilarating journey like no other. Within the pages of The Jackson MacKenzie Chronicles: Peace at a Cost” a captivating tapestry unfolds, weaving together elements ranging from the clandestine world of the CIA, intricate cover-ups, and gripping espionage, all interwoven with an infusion of sheer enjoyment. Amidst this rich tapestry also lies the poignant thread of tragedy, guaranteed to elicit emotions that resonate deeply within.
Angel Giacomo abilities shine brilliantly through this masterful creation. Step into the shoes of Jackson MacKenzie as he grapples with the Herculean task of unearthing the truth that will absolve his name, a quest akin to extracting blood from an unyielding stone high upon the mountaintop of a frozen tundra. The narrative leads us into the heart of CIA operations, immersing us in MacKenzie's relentless pursuit of this crucial information to clear his name while facing the hazards of the unknown ahead of him.
Journey alongside Jackson MacKenzie as he becomes an unwitting participant marching to the CIA drum in the annals of history, all while endeavoring to remain inconspicuous in the shadows. To journey into the light means possible arrest and imprisonment in a six-by-eight cell, a fate of death for him with the return of his nightmares and the thoughts of suicide to end his pain, a normally unthinkable thought for a Catholic. A thrilling and dynamic narrative unfolds, ensuring that from the very first page to the last, you will find yourself teetering on the edge of your seat, gripped by excitement.
I wholeheartedly endorse the reading of this enthralling work of fiction. Its pages promise an electrifying experience that leaves an indelible mark. Brace yourself for an adventure that will linger long after the final page is turned and leave you ready for the next chapter. An enthusiastic recommendation accompanies this invitation: immerse yourself and relish the journey. I most certainly did, and so will you.
