Shauna & Shane

I enjoyed the book very much, but I have a lot of questions... such as the marriage between Shane & Her? who was she? what was her name, how did they meet? they were married for almost a year, not a glimpse of her or their marriage? was she a nice person? How did Jeff and Alice treated her? Also, Shauna’s parents? her mother (no name) was at her second wedding and she “Shauna’s mom was so happy because she finally got to see her baby married and she’d always dreamed of that day for her daughter.”, wasn’t she married to Mitch?
I would like to know a little bit more about both set of parents,... etc
Anyway, Shauna you are a great woman, and I don’t know how you did it, I know you are strong and all. You didn’t just give him a second chance, you gave him a third chance, as for me I would leave his miserable ass, the 1st time he stepped out on me and go lived with the parents and started “dating”, while I am at home that you two are still sharing and wearing his ring. kudos to you girl,... !
Nice read!!

I loved this book! I also write books that have interracial couples so it felt like home for me. This author made this story feel very real and natural. I felt like i was one of the sister friends. Great job!

This book will have you in your emotions in a good way though because the author definitely knows how to accurately combine fact and fiction. I loved every word of the book. I also feel as this book sheds light on the reality that can happen in some interracial relationships.

Can’t Let Go is an interracial love story between a white man named Shane and a black woman named Shauna. Shane has been interested in Shauna for what seems like forever, but being a faithfully married woman she never bothered to look his way. Shane longs for her from a distance believing that they will forever be destined to just be friendly coworkers, but things take a change in Shane’s favor when fate changes Shauna’s relationship status from married to divorced. From the moment they get together their relationship is an up and down emotional rollercoaster filled with disloyalty, racial discriminations, and heartbreak. Jump into this book for the ride.

I gave this book a 3, because there were quite a few grammatical errors. Some parts I needed to reread a couple times in order to understand what the author was saying. That really broke the flow of the overall story. Also, there were some parts that the author chose to skip over that I wish were explained in more detail, and on the other side there were some things that the author went into depth about that I felt could have been skipped. Overall, the book was decent, but the ending was very disappointing to me. I wished it ended a different way, because I felt that the main character deserved better. It also needs to have an editor take a second look, because some of the grammatical issues were very distracting. I would still recommend this book, because I think it’s best if you read it for yourself and come up with your own opinion too.

Good read this couple here Chile one day they are together and the next he’s out dating someone new simply because he couldn’t stand up to his father and tell him who he wanted to be with but Shauna wasn’t having it and told him bye boy. Finally he got it together and went and got his one true love and married her. Good job as always Author Donna Michelle Ramos enjoyed this book even thou I wanted to strangle Shane at times.

WTH?

This felt like it was written by a 12 year old. One person said there were a bunch of run on sentences. Where? All I saw we simple sentences. Things like, she woke up. She got dressed. She walked to her car. She got in the car. It was soooooooooo annoying. I barely made it past 10%. I really only downloaded the book to leave a review. I would NOT recommend.

Once they both got past their own personal insecurities, weakness and hurt they were ready to let their love for each be glue that held them together! The love connection and chemistry really came across at that point!

Inspired by a true story.

Shane wanted her but Shauna was married. He knew she wouldn’t cheat but there had to be some way that seemed innocent that would let him spend some time with her…He comes up with the perfect plan.

Once he gets her, what will he do? Can they survive someone close to them who secretly disapproves of their interracial relationship, undermining everything they do?
