When I Choose to Wake Up

Rate this book
How does one go from having the worst life, based on the worst decisions, to living your dream life and having all you thought yourself incapable of? Go into a coma. That's right, you read correctly. And here is where I explain to you why.

My name is Liam Tanner Everell. I have a girlfriend—or three. I don't quite remember and honestly? Who even has time to count? I left home for college two years ago; a year ago, my little sister decided to go to the same college. And what do you know? She ends up dating my roommate. That wouldn't bother me if she didn't run to my mom—figuratively, of course—to tell her everything I do that she would disapprove of, which is pretty much all I do every minute I'm awake.

I was lucky enough to have wealthy parents; it doesn't hurt that they are also decent people. Of course, that means I'm used to getting what I want, when I want it, and because I want it. I have a simple job to help me finish my degree—communications. That was my bright idea; getting a degree in communications when I can barely stand talking to the people I already know.

Why do I tell you all this about myself? Because within the next few months, that guy will die... and I will be born.

Writing an ‘About Me’ section should be easy, right? Especially when you are a writer. Believe me, it isn’t. Writing about oneself is more difficult than coming up with an entire story because you can judge the characters, improve them, and/or make people hate them. You can control all emotions felt toward them. You can’t do that with yourself.

I am thirty-two years old, and I first started writing in 2018. After a back injury that changed my lifestyle and my willingness to do pretty much anything fun, I decided to start reading, which I always said I hated—ironically.
Funny how the right story can change your entire perspective, right?

I started reading romance novels; I found them so exciting and packed with emotions. I often found myself crying over something someone made up and I couldn’t believe a book could have that much power. Then one day, I decided to write my own story—Against All Odds. I can tell you with certainty that the story needs to be completely re-written because of all the mistakes in it, but I’ve learned so much since I first started. The one thing I learned about myself that surprised me the most was that I was apparently good at this writing thing. That, I never saw coming.

At first, I started writing what most people see as “regular romance novels,” but it wasn’t after I read the first Gay Romance that I understood, MM Romance was my thing. I love writing about two men exploring life as no others know, sometimes not even themselves. There is just something so powerful about men putting their guards down for each other. Plus, the steamy times can get wild. I like creating flawed characters that make mistakes, characters that go through anything us human beings can go through. One of my favorite things to do when I write is research. Why? Because I love educating through my stories. I love showing people that it is okay to love who you love regardless of their gender. It is okay to make mistakes and learn from them. It is okay to make jokes and find comedy through the most challenging times.

I love animals and I believe all animals have the right to live and breathe like any other sentient. I have two dogs, both of them rescued/adopted. There is Thunder, the big brother, the protective grumpy one, and then you have Lightning, the crazy one that runs into anything and trips over his own feet.

I don’t have much more to say, for now, other than to ask you to be kind because I am a newly self-published author without the funds to pay for a professional editor yet.

Thank you always,

Lara H.XO

Lara hale book when he choose to wake up was so good. I honestly couldn't put this book down. The book was so well written. The books is feel with all emotions from sad, angry, happy and all the above emotions. Throughout the book it is feel with sexual tensions and the chemistry between the two characters. This story is a beautiful love story that first started with some heartache. This is a highly recommended book and cant wait for everyone to read this book.

This is a book that I honestly read over and over again and would definitely read again. If you love romance book and the steamy chemistry between characters then this book is for you. I honestly feel this reviews doesn't do justice how amazing this book is but if you want to give Lara hale a chance read this book.

Lara Hale's niche is definitely m/m romance, but this story is so well written. Liam is living his life as an immature playboy. He doesn't care about anyone but himself, he is very spoiled. But then he has an accident and falls in love with a beautiful woman. Is this some kind of dream. Can he change and be a better person. Liam grows as a person and realizes the horrible choices he has made. Will Liam get his happily ever after or will he find out it was just a dream. I highly recommend this story and definitely would love to see more like this in the future. This was one of those books I couldn't put down till it was over and then wanted to read it again.

The premise of this book is intriguing. Liam wakes from a coma and falls in love with his nurse, nothing surprising about that, well just wait. Is he really awake and living the life? Why is he hearing a voices talking about him? This is a sweet love story that does pull at your heart strings. I thoroughly enjoyed this book .

Reading this for a second time was so worth it...

I give this book a full 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5

But here's why...

When I first read it it was in a text format and it was amazing but in book form it was so much better. I am so happy to have an autographed copy and to have been mentioned in the thank you page. 😍
