This book is a really well written rendition of the story of the crucifixion and resurrection for children. It is simply written, but tells the story clearly without dwelling too much on the horrific violence of it. The pictures are bright and beautiful. Both Arely and Israel appeared to understand the story, be interested in the story and were engaged in the reading of it.

We really enjoyed reading this book. It was very easy to follow this story of Jesus Christ. The illustrations are really pretty as well.
