The Rise of Nicolaitanes

In a post-apocalyptic world, where every new day fulfills another prophecy from the book of Revelation, Serenity Lambert must choose a path. Feeling overwhelmed by the loss of so many of his troops over the years, Alexander enacts Operation Dark Angel. Once he is onboard, the voice gathers together a most unusual group of people to ensure Operation Dark Angel's success. What role will it play in bringing about the rise of Nicolaitanes Balac?

This is a book with a powerful Christian message for those who believe, those who do not, and those who are unaware! Pamela Funke has done an outstanding job of delivering the first book in this series that will leave you asking those all-important questions and wanting to get on board with God. In today's society and the world, this book really hits home~She spins a tale so formidable and believable and lifelike, you will be holding your breath in anticipation of what occurs next! The Bible verses included will help deliver the truth~ You DO NOT want to miss out on this incredible book that will impact your life in so many ways! First off, hats off to this author.
The concept of this book isn't one that is for everyone. Heck it's probably not even a message that many people want to think about. But this is one story that will get you thinking about how you are living your life (if you're one of those that are on the fence of believing). But it's a powerful message for everyone is the world today.
When I first started reading this the first thing to pop in my head was that it has the same message and makes me feel the same way I felt after reading the Left Behind series for the first time.
I will say it is a little hard to follow along. If any readers are like me, the further they get into the book the less they pay attention to the timeline that is posted at the beginning of each perspective or chapter. Which does confuse because at one point I was like "hey wait, he's dead" then I went back to discover the author had went back 20-30 minutes in time before events happen.

It all starts with a voice to a young girl that really sets the world on its last days. When a child is born to bring on the end of times. Serenity is hears the voice and joins a covert group and is is out to find the evil . When the same voice suggests to General Ludlow that this war will stop the evil. The operation Dark Angel will bring on the rise NIcolaitane Balac.
This book is full of characters that are very well written and complex . Nicolaitane is well I believe that he is the anti Christ that is coming . He is such a charismatic man who has risen to power . You can't help but like him . There are so many great characters that will have you flipping pages.
This is a long book but it doesn't seem like it as you start . the characters are well written and the story well written . This is a Christian telling of the story of revelations . This has a the vibe the stand going on , the good versus evil . I will tell you that it did take me a bit to get into the story but as soon as I got into the story it flew by . This book will have you asking the all important questions about God and the world. With the world the way it is right now and what is happening hits too close to home. This is an author that I am going to check out . So if you want a new retelling of the end of days this is the book for you , so check it out.

When a young woman is told by a "voice" that she will have a child that will be the "choosen" but when she has the child, she is killed. That voice had been telling others what they should do and they follow with little or no regret on their parts they play. The time/dates at the beginning at each chapter is a little confusing to me, except when it's using the years , to me thing seem to jump back and forth between a lot a characters. But this is a very interesting book to read , who will see what is really going on and what will they do. Will they be torn between that follow blindly and do all that they are told. What about the others who know what is going on, what will happen to them. The world is shaken to it's core with all that comes next. Read the book to get the whole story

An intriguing premise. I enjoyed the overall story but it was a bit hard to get into with the writing style and so many characters all over the place.

This took me some time to read, but this was a very well done book! Loved the plot! It was confusing in the beginning...BUT then I started to get the message of the tale of it meaning that it was focused on the end of times. Meaning on what could happen! It is a concept many people do not like to think about but it was a story that had me interested. Makes me think of the story series, " Left Behind" that my husband told me about that he read when he was young. When I was telling him about this he said it was reminding him of those books. It makes you want to ask questions about yourself. I know a few people who like to read this kind of books, and I would happily recommend this for sure! Well done!

This book is a Christian telling of what would happen during the end times. A great beginning to a series
Even though it was really hard for me to get into this book at the beginning, I persevered and actually got drawing into it as the story progressed. I look forward to seeing where this series goes and to watch the author grow with confidence with her writing.

I was so excited when this came out!after reading Into the Woods, I just couldn't wait! But,,
This book is not one that I could finish. While it was extremely well written and a work of fiction, it is just not for me.

I am in complete awe. This is one of the best apocalyptic books I have ever read! At first, I thought it was going to be a scary book like a Steohen King novel, but then I discovered it is more fantasy than anything else. The book of Revelation is one of the scariest books known to mankind because it predicts an era in which the antichrist will reign the earth. Pretty spooky stuff but noone seems to understand it but Authir Pam Funke gets it. I believe this is her interpretation if what may happen. I like how she took imagination, biblical truth, and every day events and turned it into a believable novel. I love, live, loved this book. I recommend it to everyone regardless of whether you are Christian or not.

I had the most amazing time writing this book. Years ago, God gave me this story to write. I must admit it took me a minute to get fully committed to writing it. This is NOT because I didn't believe in the story, the content of this series took me on a rollercoaster of feelings. I know that it's going to create all sorts of feelings for you, the reader. It deals with the End Times from the Bible and is my idea of how it might happen. I hope you not only enjoy the story but that you learn something from it.

Perhaps just not my cup of tea. Only thing that got me to chapter two was the search for something Christian. Obviously others have appreciated this more than I.
