The moment Sonya Morrison gazes into Mike Kelly's deep blue eyes she knows that he wants her. But she also knows he is wasting his time. She doesn't do vanilla, and is surprised when he boldly informs her that he's never acquired a taste for chocolate. Mike and Sonya are in for quite a surprise when struck with an urge to sample the forbidden, and that can only mean one course of action for this couple who risks savoring the sweetest taboo.
* Mike and Sonya was first introduced in - THE SAVVY SISTAHS

Mike and Sonya love story proved to be very I treating. Sonya had issues regarding commitment and love arising from her parents divorce that she held onto. Mike had a love her and leave her concept. I enjoyed Carla and Jesse's relationship. I never figured out who the other woman was with Jesse in the picture that caused Carla to leave him and decide not to tell him about his son. All in all a good story. Carla got her man and Sonya ended up with Mike.
Sonya and Mike had chemistry the moment they met and both started fighting it immediately. Then he decided not to fight it anymore. He thought that having her one time would get her out of his system. She wasn't sure she could be involved in an interracial romance. The sparks between them soon became too much for her to ignore. Then, after the one night he thought would be all he needed, Mike realizes he loves her. Now all he has to do is convince her that she feels the same. This was a short and spicy story. These two had amazing chemistry. I enjoyed this story a lot.
I loved Mike and Sonya's story, this was a very short, sweet and an enjoyable read. I would absolutely recommend reading this book I don't think you will regret it. Great job as always Ms. Brenda Jackson. 👍👍Thank you.
I could not put the book down well written story since I am a romantic at heart. It let one you cannot help who you love. Ilove stories from other with other character's from other stories
Another Brenda Jackson book I discovered. The story of Brenda and Mike road to love was a beautiful and inspiring story that was a truly enjoyable read.
Because I wanted to know how Sonya and Mike fell in love and got married even though there are still people who have a problem with interracial relationships
WHEW. This book had me hot, bothered, and wide awake when I should’ve been asleep 😩 The tension?? The chemistry?? The scandal?? Chef’s kiss.
This is a true grown-folks romance—messy, forbidden, and downright delicious. As a Black woman, I loved seeing a swirl romance that felt authentic, mature, and sexy without leaning on tired tropes. J.D. Mason gave me fully developed characters, complicated feelings, and enough heat to fog up my Kindle screen.
If you love: 🍫 Interracial romance (Black woman + white man) 🔥 Forbidden affairs 🥵 Slow burn that pays off 💋 Drama but make it grown
Then baby… this one’s for you. I’m giving it 4 stars only because I wanted more by the end. But trust—my body gave it a 10. 😂
