Well done!

True rating is 4. There were some editing, word/phrase usage, etc issues but the overall story was really good. Those issues didn’t distract from the story line. I’m a hockey fan so I loved all the hockey that was included and I loved that it included a female fan yelling and screaming at the team. What pushed it to a 5 star was the Crosby shade in the first part of the book.

Go Canes! :)

Great hockey romance!

I love hockey romances and I’m so happy to have found a new author. I enjoyed that this book was a straightforward romance. No questioning how the couple feels about the other. Any angst is external and it wasn’t over the top. I can’t to read more.

I think I’ve read enough hockey series to realized I’m a little spoiled and have set the bar rather high. I felt like this dragged in areas and kept waiting for some big reveal/tragedy from Alice’s past that never came. I also felt like the author was a bit embarrassed to write a sexual scene and just threw in a few names of acts just to say, “here you go.”

I do have to say I enjoy having a female lead who loves and knows a great deal about hockey without being a puck bunny. And that she’s comfortable with cursing like a sailor (or a hockey player) when she watches it. And that she knows craft beer.

Otherwise I felt like there wasn’t much interesting about Scott and Alice.

The ratings seem to go up in the series so I’ll try a few more before I give up.

You can't help but fall in love with the Captain of the Sound and his girl! Scotty and Alice hit the ice and don't look back as they fall in love. She is a quick witted, hockey smart Philly transplant who falls hard for the Captain of the Cleveland Sound after a chance meeting at the practice rink. Sparks fly, disasters happen that brings them closer and test them, they stand together providing peace and comfort. What is not to love.

Quite a romantic, sweet and gentle book about two lovely characters. If you are in the mood for that you will adore it.

Scott and Alice are lovely and well suited. There is no superfluous drama, they are slowly unveiled and I think as a reader you become slowly invested in them

Really wanted to like this and it had great potential, but just didn't find it very engaging. DNF @ 26%.
