Rate this book
There are countless option strategies that any trader can execute.  So many in fact that the decision on which strategy to use can paralyze the new option trader.

This book, “32 Most Common Option Strategies”, introduces the reader to the most common strategies used day in and day out by traders worldwide.  The appendix section of the book includes several helpful illustrations of the strategies described in this manual.

At first glance, trading options can seem very challenging.  The fact is that every strategy is some combination of a call, a put or shares of stock.  The industry uses many confusing names to describe each strategy.  You are probably familiar with some of   Iron Condor, Broken Wing Butterfly, Strangle, Straddle, Ratio Spread, etc.  However, when you look at each strategy, you find we construct each one with some combination of puts, calls and/or stock.

This book

     1.  A summary of each strategy

     2.  An overview of each strategy

     3.  Maximum risk for each strategy

     4.  Maximum reward for each strategy

     5.  The breakeven points for each strategy

     6.  A risk graph for each strategy

“32 Most Common Option Strategies” separates the strategies into 3 separate groups as defined by risk and reward.

1. Trade Level 1 strategies are the most basic.  It perfectly suits them for the “newbie” trader.  All trade level 1 strategies are “defined risk strategies”, except for the short naked put

2. Trade Level 2 strategies are intermediate suitable for a trader still honing their skills.

3. Trade Level 3 strategies are for the advanced trader.  All trade level 3 strategies are “undefined risk”.  Experienced traders should use trade level 3 strategies.  A thorough knowledge not only of trade execution, but trade management should be present.

Keep this manual nearby as a convenient reference as you migrate the trading landscape.  As always, be patient and control size.

Informative

This book clarifies the various option strategies. It does not give advice on which strategies are best for beginners vs. experienced traders. The book only mentions bullish vs bearish expectations when using each strategy.
