Why?
This is a very short story of about 2700 words. It's the story of a young woman who awakens in the middle of a routine surgical procedure to find that she's no longer in the hospital but is somewhere else and is confronted by a daughter she aborted 13 years earlier who wants to know why she was aborted. The story revolves around their conversation and this encounter. It will be controversial to many readers. Some will love it, some will hate it. I debated a long time whether to publish it or not, but I've decided to go ahead and give it a chance. Once again, it's a very short story of about 2700 words. I think it's an interesting concept. I was viewing it as a writing exercise for a while, but it is a good short story so out it goes into the marketplace and I'll see what happens with it. Expect wildly disparate views depending on who reads it.
