Married with two teenage daughters, we have a cat named Ollie and soon to welcome a puppy. I’ve enjoyed writing the book Blue Mountain Wolves - Awakening. It is the first book in the series and i am currently wring book 2. When I’m not writing I love to read otherwise I’m trying to get my girls off their devices and into a good book...preferably mine :)
S.C. Macklin, in his book, Blue Mountain Wolves—Awakening, tells the fictional story of a 17-year-old boy, Langdon. The book focuses on his personal life and his relationship with his family, friends, and partners. Langdon, Tom, and Beau are classmates and friends. Initially, Beau and Langdon didn’t have a healthy relationship. Their relationship turned better after Tom convinced them that they should go on a camping trip. However, this also led to their encounter with a werewolf, and they only escaped after the werewolf had bitten Langdon. This bite turns out to be the first stage of Langdon’s transition into a werewolf at similar times in subsequent months. A lot of questions come to mind, will he infect another person? Will he adapt to this change? Will his loved ones stand by him if he opens up to them?
The characters are well and reasonably developed, and I had no dull moments while reading about any of them. In fact, I had no urge to rush through any part of the book, and I almost read at a steady pace.
Some subjects explored in this book center on werewolves, homosexuality, and relationships. An aspect of this book I was in awe of is the great rapport between Langdon and his parents. I loved that they could hold certain conversations, especially his discussion with his father, Mitchell, about his relationship with his boyfriend. The way his parents disciplined him when he did something wrong, yet respected him, is an attribute that stood out for me. It occurred to me that if all parents have this kind of relationship with their kids, the world will be a better place.
In the middle of this book, I had a feeling that this book would have sequels, and I was not wrong. The ending was abrupt and left me looking forward to the next book. The author specifically stated so, too.
This book contains several errors. Also, to be more specific, in the last line of page 248 of this book, a character named Daniel is referred to as Mitchell. This got me confused, but a second read of the sentence showed that it was a mistake. Apparently, this book needs the services of a careful editor. Aside from these errors, this would have been a perfect read. This is so because I encountered no other negative thing about this book.
Ordinarily, this book deserves a perfect rating; however, the errors are enough for me to deduct a star. Therefore, I am giving Blue Mountain Wolves—Awakening a rating of three out of four stars.
Individuals who are interested in the aforementioned subjects covered in this book will find it engaging, and I recommend it to them.
The lead character in the story is Langdon, a boy who's life is about to change. He went on a trip with his friends and there happened a strange incident which transformed his identity. Langdon is a straight guy, he has always been attracted towards the opposite gender but an incident during the the trip made him to fall for Finn. Finn, he is a guy, now this changed personality of Langdon!! where will this take him now? Till now nobody is aware of their feelings but the readers will develop a curiosity to witness the situation of Langdon's acceptance. This is a heart warming and mind bending story which will catch up with the readers mind, further in the story, the readers will witness more about love, acceptance and some significant concepts in relation with the LGBTQ. Turn the pages to witness this really wonderful fiction with a great concept.
Fictions are always mind blowing and this one is extraordinarily amazing. The author has come up with a great concept and has creatively developed the whole background and introduced all the characters. The book teaches us that the acceptance is not a constitutional aspect, instead it comes from the heart and soul. The story is well balanced, I finished reading it in about two days and my friends loved it too. Many thanks to the author for sharing this, an ultimate blend of entertainment, joy and courage. Let's make the love win, because love is beautiful and love is powerful.
I would recommend you all to read this wonderful fiction. This is a perfect pick for the people of every age group.
