A gloriously nerdy book. I could mostly manage the German; Travel & Transport is one of my specialist areas of vocab, and knowing how Bond films work was also an advantage. It might spoil the magic a little to learn that it can take about a dozen cars, some models and some unroadworthy, to produce something like the underwater Lotus sequence, but it's also very impressive. There's a section on each of the actors detailing every car they've ever driven, often with registration numbers (to my disappointment, Dalton is dismissed as 'has no interest in luxury cars') and instructions for driving some of the routes, including the Goldfinger chase on the Furka Pass and the GoldenEye roads around Nice, which I shall file for future reference.
