Wynter Wild #9

Broken Strings

Rate this book
Wynter and her brothers have a challenging time ahead, and hopefully a rewarding one. Their music careers move to the next level and they'll have tough decisions to make as they work out their priorities.

Wynter has a new bestie (well, it's her first bestie) and her eye on setting up Jesse. Meanwhile, Xay has an opportunity to chase after his dream, and Caleb and Indio each have someone special to take care of.

But nothing good lasts forever. When the strings break, this family needs to find a way to pull together.

Ugh

When will we find out Wynter's paternity? Caleb finally has his head back on straight. Is she dating her 1/2 brother? Will Indio find out they aren't related at all? Where's Luke? Help solve all these mysteries and where is Roman??

You've got to wonder if things will ever go right for this family. How much heartbreak can they (and we) endure. This really has been an adventure. I'm going to be sad to see it end. Alas, book 10 is calling.

So intriguing. Such a good and addictive series.
Nine books in, and the storyline continues to be a page turner.
Things we need to know:
Who is Wynter’s father? Do the Fairn boys really all belong to the same father? Seems with early history, Harry was gone in the military. Miriam was gone for her seminars. Who, exactly, fathered all her kids?
Is Miriam just evil?
Watching Caleb fall apart, and slowly crawl his way back, was excruciating.
Whatever is happening with Wynter and Xay, I don’t like it.
So many high hopes for answers and HEAs in book ten.

Superb, beautifully written!

I love the Wynter Wild books but this one in particular was such a treat. Sara Creasy's sublime talent in creating realistic characters is hard to surpass. She writes with such depth, perception and intelligence creating a unique, intriguing family situation, each character within it well thought out with an infinitesimal attention to detail ensuring her reader is invested and enthralled. Personally I have been entranced from the first line of book one to the last word of this one and wish this series of books didn't have to end.

Some stories don’t shout for attention—they gently hold your heart while you read, and *Broken Strings* does exactly that. Sara Creasy has once again written a quietly powerful, deeply emotional story that stays with you long after the last page.

The characters feel real in the most tender way, carrying their flaws, hopes, and healing journeys with a sense of honesty that makes them impossible not to care about. Every interaction feels meaningful, every moment weighted with emotion.

By the end, I felt reflective and moved, like I’d just spent time with people who truly mattered. It’s a story about connection, resilience, and the fragile but beautiful ways people learn to heal.

Thank you, Sara Creasy, for another heartfelt and unforgettable read. As always, it’s an easy five stars.
