Rate this book
The textbook for Devotional Biology, a video-based High School Biology curriculum from Compass Classroom. Textbook is printed in full color with a layout for easy reading and lots of pictures. Devotional Biology: Learning to Worship the Creator of Organisms is an amazing opportunity to learn high school biology from one of the top creation scientists in the world. Dr. Kurt Wise designed this unique class to fully integrate a Christian worldview with the biological sciences. The result is a completely new way to approach biology. He has taught this class for over a decade to high school and college students, and is now making it available for the first time in video format. One of the many interesting things about the class is how Dr. Wise starts with our understanding of who God is, then shows how God has created the living world to reflect His unique attributes in His creation. He explains a fascinating array of subjects from a creationist perspective, including the nature of life, Biblical kinds, biosystems, biodiversity, cell theory, the history of life, and much, much more.

Over 13 years of K-12 and 3 years of college, this is the best textbook I've read. It was challenging in places, such as explaining cells, but I love, love, love how it would connect science and the Bible. Highly recommended, even if you're not taking a class that requires this.

This is a thick book, so it's going to take a while, but so far so good.

I love it when someone with scientific knowledge and Bible knowledge show how they connect to each other.
God reveals things in what seems like a time-released manner, and in the last few years these kinds of people are getting this kind of knowledge out there, and thank God they are.
