Seeing her sister fall in love warmed Evie’s heart. But she can’t help but wonder if she’ll get her own chance at happiness. Despite being a widow, she has little experience in the bedroom. She’s sure she’d disappoint any man she dated.
When her neighbor, Jasper, comes home for the harvest, Evie gets an idea. And she figures Jasper is probably too nice to turn her down. So she asks for a
Would he, ever so kindly, mind taking her to bed?
Little did she know her request was like something out of Jasper’s dreams. He’s always known that Evie was the one for him, ever since he was a teenager.
Jasper is more than happy to oblige her. But he’d be happier still if she could realize he is the man for her.
In the bedroom, they’re a match made in heaven. But the rest of it may turn out to be more complicated…
Her Favor is book two in the Hart Sisters Series, a heartfelt series about finding love. There’s just the right amount of steam and stories that will stay with you after you’ve turned the last page.
Alie Garnett loves a little spice in her books. She lives on a small hobby farm in northern Minnesota with her husband and two kids. When she isn't writing, she is doing everything that she didn't 'get to' while writing.
I really enjoyed Jasper and Evie’s story but I admit that I did not connect to Evie at all. I felt she just created whole stories out of nothing. What she believed had no bearing on her situation with Jasper and he never once made her feel as if any of her negative thoughts were his feelings, which made her more annoying than a heroine I wanted to root for. Even giving her plenty of latitude because of what she went through with her ex and all that, it was hard to say, “yeah, she totally deserved this happy ending.” I mean, I am glad she got it because I think Jasper deserved it because he was great, honest and open with his emotions, while giving her the time she needed to figure her stuff out. The scenes between them were hot and sweet at the same time, which only made her actions and attitudes all the more annoying. For that reason, Her Favor gets a 4 star rating from me.
I'm not going to lie, I wasn't Evie's biggest fan in the first book, Seeing Her Pain, as she was quite the pain in the behind when it came to her sisters. I'm happy to report that she's developing into so much more (started in the first book) especially in her story. See, she's a widow who got married very early when she got pregnant, and she's the sister who stayed home to man the family farm, plus she's a bit of a control freak. After watching her baby sister, Zoey, find love, it got her thinking that maybe it's time to start dating, and when Jasper comes home, she asks him to help her. Jasper has always had a thing for Evie, but she never gave him the time of day, and she sure isn't doing so now but he's still going to help her out because maybe just maybe he'll be able to prove to her that they belong together. I love this series because of the family aspect kicker to the romance since Evie's family is broken at the hands of their parents. I really want everyone to experience this goodness for themselves since I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
This is the second book in this series and is Evie and Jasper’s story. Evie is a widow with a son, and her life is her family, but she wants the happiness her sister has. Jasper has been in love with Evie since he was a teenager, but he thought he had lost any chance of being together when she married someone else. Now Jasper is back in town as his grandpa has passed away and is determined to convince Evie for a chance at being together, especially when she asks for his help in getting back into the dating game. This is a well written sweet story, which is filled with emotions, secrets, regrets, trust, family, humor, and love, which leads to an entertaining and all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.
This was a good and entertaining read. Evie and Jasper knew each other since childhood and Jasper being a few years younger than Evie, harbored loving feelings for Evie. The age difference kept Evie from pursuing anything with Jasper, but unbeknownst to both of them, their families had other ideas. This is a very good book, but beware, Evie's attitude can grate on your nerves. The Hart sisters have a lot of baggage and throughout out this book, we find out a little bit more about Evie's older sister, Della. This is a good read with a happily ever after.
Evie has lived for her family and her son, she was left with a life she didn't expect after her husband died. Jasper has been in love with Evie since he was 16 and now he has the chance to make her see it but Evie can't see her worth or the love that Jasper has. I loved this story and how Evie struggled about what she wants and what she feels like she deserves. Great story and I can't wait for Della's next.
don't let it be an excuse to avoid the possibility of a happiness you have only been able to dream about. Evie has a life journey with many secrets and regrets, but can she have the life she's been dreaming of since she was a little girl??? Happy reading : )
This is an interesting story. It had me guessing. I couldn't put book down once started.
I loved Evie and Jasper together, they've known each other for years. Evie doesn't have much trust in people. Jasper has always had attraction to Evie. Evie fought the attraction she has to Jasper.
Love this story, Jasper eyeing Evie since he was fifteen and she was twenty. Thinking he lost her when she married someone else, she becomes a widow and the game is back on!
Evie Hart only saw Jasper Reed as a kid. He has always loved her, but needed some growing up to do since he is five years younger then her. Jasper comes back home because his grandpa had passed away suddenly. Evie finally realizes that Jasper is a man and that she had fallen in love with him. They do get a HEA.
