In a sprawling fantasy world full of species of various kinds, a 21-year-old Halven(hobbit-like creatures) girl and her mother’s lives are drastically changed when their town is visited by a traveling caravan of humans and elves attempting to establish trade routes between all major races. The shy and innocent girl's eyes are opened when she meets and has sex with a human from the caravan, and her mother finds release from her bitter marriage to her homosexual husband when she dominates and has sex with the caravan's Elven sponsor.

After the girl gets in a fight with her mother over having sex with her female Halven friend, she decides to run away from home, leaving town with the caravan, to see the world, and explore her newfound sexual impulses. Feeling bad for lashing out at her daughter while actually angry at her husband, and determined to make things right with her, the mother leaves town as well, attempting to catch up to the caravan. On her Journey with the caravan, the girl meets and forms relationships with various interesting characters, getting caught up in all kinds of trouble and peculiar situations, and her mother works out her bitterness and frustration when she meets someone who helps her along the way to finding her daughter.

To be clear, this is Pornography! Although it mixes it quite well with its phenomenal plot and a well-developed cast of characters, it is still very much porn. There is so much graphic sex and vulgar language, but that isn’t necessarily bad because it isn’t advertising itself as anything other than what it is. That being said, the story is amazing and definitely worth the read if you can deal with all the sexual stuff. For those that might be more interested in sexual stuff, rest assured that that is also very top-notch. The art is exceptional and way more high-quality than it has any right to be. This webcomic is an obvious passion project that has gone on for more than 15 years, and comprises 17 chapters, which have a total of 1,286 pages. I read it all in less than a day!

Definitely adult in nature. The characters and their relationships are so fucked up. Seems very real.

1st Review which Is Funny

The beginning? Perfect. The story nails its pacing, side characters actually matter, and it weaves real cultural issues into the cast in a way that feels natural. You’ve got Alfie, this shy mess of a person stumbling through self-discovery, and Vera, her mom, chasing after her while drowning in regrets. The dual perspectives are genius, no clear “hero” or “villain”, just flawed people clashing. By the end, it drives home a truth we all ignore: sometimes acceptance is better than forcing change.

And let’s be real, it’s plot and porn done right. A rare combo! One of the best recs I’ve gotten, no question. So why only 3 stars? The last few chapters drop the ball. I hate pretending I could’ve written it better—stories are what they are, you either like em or you don’t, but Alfie’s choices? Oof. Yeah, it’s “in character,” but that doesn’t make some moments less frustrating (no spoilers). The potential was there for a smoother ending, and it kinda fumbles. Still a damn good read, just… not the finale it deserved.
