I love a good Mafia romance and when I saw the female lead was an undercover agent o was all in.
What could be a better contrast and conflict than that.
The characters are all colorful snd unique. The story is in multiple views but each chapter is marked with who’s view so it’s not confusing.
I liked the push snd pull between Dante snd Maya. I loved the mysterious quality and drama.
Warning it is a cliffhanger so be prepared to want more. I am ready.

Are you ready to be CORRUPTED? IT! WILL! BLOW! YOU! AWAY! I knew when I received this book that it was going to be something that I would not be able to put down until I finished it! Let alone being able to shake it off once it was done! Miss Khaliq is not only a phenomenal writer but her stories are filled with suspense, drama, romance, deceit, lust, but most of all they have the ability to reach inside of your heart and grab, shake, and torture you with nothing but the words coming off the page! I admit that at first I was hesitant when I started reading and thought uh oh! This is going to be something I will not be able to shake once I am done! Well that is true and no I have not been able to shake this story! It is like THE BEST DRUG!!! It is ADDICTING! It has a well thought out plot with such a good and mesmerizing story. A.G. has the ability to transport you not only visually, but honestly I believe that she writes with innate knowledge about her characters and the places that the reader is sent to within her stories. I can not say enough about this author! I am so glad I found her! She writes with so much heart that it shows in her writing all the while really succeeding in bringing the reader along with her when she takes these journeys! Not only is she a PHENOMENAL writer but you will become enamored with her style and want to grab her works for your personal library! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER! One of the BEST AUTHORS IN THIS GENRE! ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR!!! Now when are we getting the next one!? I am already jonesing for my next Khaliq fix! LOL!!!

Author has written a Content Warning that you will want to pay attention to.
Maya has been given a big job to do. Donte likes what he sees – very much. Our author even gives her secondary characters a voice. This was a book that had ups and downs.
The author got me to like Maya in what she was attempting to do. Then I became conflicted as the story continues. There were times where her past would rear its ugly head and I could understand the feelings that came along with it. It was when she was doing the task that she was assigned that at times I had issues with. Maybe it’s because I watch too many reality crime shows.
Donte had issues that comes with the family he lives with but he tried to be his own man. Again, I liked what our author attempted to do with his character. For being a supposed strong character, I found it hard to believe how he would break down over some things – a little wishy-washy. His family seemed to be caught in the middle of something and I was interested in seeing more of that.
Our author did something that you don’t see too often. She let her secondary characters tell us what they’re thinking. There were times that I liked getting to hear them but then there was at least one group that I couldn’t figure out what the purpose was since I didn’t feel that I would be seeing them again.
On the whole, I did like what this author was attempting to do with her story. Even with my bouts of confusion, I found myself wanting to know where this series was going. Plus, I wanted to see if my confusion would go away as the story continues. And I’m eager to see if our main characters are going to interact more or if our author will keep them apart.

A story full of suspense, romance, deceit, danger, and drama, dangerous desires is a full on package. Dangerous desires tells you Maya and Donte's story. Both the characters have their own set of emotional baggage and insecurities. These are very well handled throughout the book. The manner in which Maya's past in this books is handled is admirable.
It's an intense story that captivates the reader from the first page itself. And the pacing of the story is impressive. The push and pull gives more flavour to the book, and, Maya and Donte's story. It's a book that is hard to put down and a true page turner.
Coming to the characters, all the characters, be it the protagonists and supporting, have been written really well. And this book is a very promising start to the series.
The only thing that didn't work for me was the chapters in this book are too small. As a result, since the story is told through multiple perspectives, it doesn't give the reader enough time to understand the character well.
However, I loved the book and would love to checkout the next installment in this series.

Maya is a secret agent who has been tasked to go undercover to get the goods on Donte by any means necessary, a man part of the Russian mafia but becoming his newest employee named Sapphire. Donte takes one look at her, and she definitely catches his eye. Things are going well with her covert mission, but as she spends more time with him, things really get complicated when the sparks they have flying start igniting all over the place. I'm telling you, with the right authors, anytime I read anything about undercover work, I stay on the edge of my seat with my heart racing because you already know that somewhere along the way, she's going to get caught. It makes for f-bomb worthy twists coming in hot as I wait for the inevitable other shoe to drop so my anxiety becomes sky high LOL!. Of course it's the talent of this author to raise that anxiety since I didn't just read Dangerous Desires, but actually experienced it. it ends on a cliffhanger that I didn't see coming, so now the impatient wait starts for the conclusion! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dangerous Desires Part 1, by A.G. Khaliq is an exquisite story of lust, deception, temptation, hatred, bitterness, and fear….it follows Maya (Sapphire) and Donte. She’s undercover with the Secret Service, tasked with making a case against him. He’s a wealthy owner of numerous businesses, and her boss is convinced he is heavily involved with the mafia. But, their feelings get in the way of both their jobs.
Loved everything about this intensely captivating story!!!! These two have so many skeletons in their closets….so many hidden secrets….so much trauma and pain….Couldn’t stop reading this!!!!!
The only downside was the cliffhanger….

This is the beginning of what promises to be an awesome series. The author has started this series with a bang, this book is absolutely fantastic. There is so much going on in this book that I had finished it in no time at all, I couldn’t turn those pages fast enough. Wonderful writing techniques drew me into this story and refused to let go. I can’t wait for book 2.

A. G. Khaliq did a great job on this story, Dangerous Desires Part 1 had a strong plot that was written well, it was packed with many emotions, the characters were strong, their journey wasn't an easy one, they went through a lot, their journey was a rollercoaster.
This was a good story, looking forward to reading more.

This is part one of the Corrupt Me Series, it’s a really well written book with plenty of action to keep you turning those pages and well thought out characters that take you through it. I look forward to reading more and I definitely recommend this book.

Action packed storyline with lots of twists. Author did a great job telling the characters story. Intense well detailed plot. Relationship between characters was unique. Loved every page.

This was a new to me author.
I'm really conflicted by this book, as it had so much promise, and the premise of the plot would of been good if there were way to many males bawling their eyes out. I'm all for being in touch with your emotions, but I started to loss interest by the 3rd different waterworks. Especially when you think of who they are.
Anyway I digress sorry, just really irked me.
The plot held a lot of potential but got a bit lost at times, which is a shame as there were some fantastic twists.

I have never read this author, but let me tell you, she is no longer a stranger, and her books are going immediately onto my TBR list!!!

This book is loaded with suspense, drama and action. Its very intense & make sure you pay attention to the warning the author gives because this book will not be for everyone.

Maya Bradshaw went undercover as Sapphire Myers to take down the Russian Mafia. She learned more about herself and discovered love along the way. Whether her and Donte get a happy ending is not revealed in this book... the ending is not a expected one.

A short story that had plenty of action, suspense, intrigue and mystery surrounding the characters. It definitely was an interesting read because there just seemed more story to tell even after everything that occurred in this book. Great story.

This is the first part in this series by this author. This story follows the characters Maya and Donte, these two characters have troubled pasts that make for one intense connection between them. This story will grip you from the first page, definitely a page turner of a read. This story is full of suspense, romance, danger and drama. This is a intensely captivating read from start to finish. This book end on a cliff hanger ending leave you wanting the next book as soon as possible.

This is the 1st part in a new series and this story certainly starts with a bang. Maya / Sapphire is a secret agent who is tasked by her boss to go undercover at a company to get proof against the wealthy businessman Dante, who he states is connected with the mafia, and is behind a series of murders. As Sapphire spends more time getting to know Dante and his business, she realises that she may be on a wild goose chase, but why is her boss so hell bent of getting evidence against Dante? This is a well written story which had me invested from the very beginning, and is an emotional roller coaster, with secrets, deception, twists, action, suspense, intrigue, mystery, and with an in-depth plot. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I found this book to be difficult to follow told from dual perspective but then jumping to include narrative from other characters. I also was not able to become interested in the storyline or characters.

you may like this, but I didn't!
Too much back and forth, yes I want you, no I don't. And with three men, not just one. The writing was good, spelling and punctuation. And the story line wasn't bad, but I just got tired of waiting for the punch lines. Try it! You may find you disagree with my opinion.
