Kirby remembers it all. The gods will pay for the suffering they’ve caused in this life and those she's lived before. The only questions are where and how?
She has new allies and lovers, but with a lifetime of betrayal guiding her, she doesn’t know who to turn to. The trickster god who makes it easy to throw caution to the wind? The god of passion who sparks delight, terror, and desire with a single look?
Kirby desperately wants one of those people she trusts to be the berserker who set her on this path both then and now, but lifetimes of playing both sides changes a person.
Time is running out for her to find answers. Both about her lovers, and the gods she seeks to destroy before they can act on the prophecies that will allow them to topple modern empires.
Failure means not just her destruction, but the death of thousands.
Author's Note:Valkyrie Hunted was previously titled Death in the Night, and is a dark urban fantasy that contains mention of self-harm, thoughts of suicide, and physical assault

Allyson Lindt has been telling stories since before she could put the words on paper. She was lucky enough to marry her muse and soul mate. Their cats are their children, and when they’re not spending way too much time gaming, they’re building new worlds together. She loves a sexy happily-ever-after and helping deserving couples find their futures together.
Wow. I couldn't stop reading the second book in this series until I was done. You really should read the prequel and the first book so you will understand what is going on. Great ending, too. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
This book starts where the last one ended. Kirby now has her memories and her Valkyrie powers back, though she really doesn't know how to use them or even exactly what they are. Mark is still trying to kill her, Brit is still a scheming witch, and Starkad, Min, and Gwydion are still sticking like glue. She is very PO'd at Stacked for keeping so many secrets, and for keeping her at arm's length when she wanted him so much. The only things she is sure about is that Hel must die and TOM must be destroyed. Along the way she will also have to deal with her feelings for three men and theirs for her. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? Wonder if that is true if you are basically immortal?
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
WHAT?! I know I didn’t have any preconceived notions about how this book would go, but even I wasn’t expecting that. I have no words that can adequately convey where this story just took me – to be honest, I’m still not even sure where that was. My mind is blown. My ability to think and reason feels very mushy right now and I’m quite concerned that if I let this stream-of-consciousness writing continue I’m going to find myself out to sea deep in spoiler territory. This book was amazing. It reminds of all the things I loved best about the author’s Hacking Wonderland series. I’m not going to expand on that because it will definitely give away the best secrets of this book. Now, I’m both dying to get my hands on the next book and deathly afraid of what it’s going to reveal. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
The plot seemed quite chaotic overall, but I liked it quite okay anyway. We did see some background to all the main characters. Still saw a bunch of mistakes that makes me think that the redactor has never read through it. And also cmon lets talk about the covers of the book. What sort of kid made this graphic? Background colors are fine, but the valkyrie is just made to look like an abomination even for humanoid. No proportions no right angles....
Well, it would be more stars had there not been so many grammatical errors that I had to reread. Also, the covers on Goodreads and kindle are definitely not the same. Aside from those things, it was a “couldn’t put the book down” read!!!! As was the first, I’ve already read the prologue on the third, can’t wait to finish the series. Though I BEG of you, please make sure to edit! Whoever reads your books before publishing needs to step it up in the editing department. Keep up the great work!!
I honestly don't see how these 3 men keep coming back for her. She has no redeeming qualities and just wants to unalive herself all the time. She gets her memory back and has awesome powers but does nothing but push everyone away.
ONE MESMERIZING EXPERIENCE!!! Thrilling! Allyson is kicking ass and taking names with this slam dunk that rocks this bad boy right on home. A spiraling flurry of unexpected mishaps and astonishing events launch those spinning emotions, coiling tightly, bursting to life brilliantly. Drama, adversity, intrigue, deceit, betrayal, danger and suspense engage all of your senses while a horde of twists and turns run rampant. One intense storyline and gripping plot propels this bad boy to life flawlessly. The trials and tribulations along with a few bumps and bruises send this bad boy skyrocketing. The characters chemistry is intense, white hot and palpable. The characters personalities are original, relatable and realistic with such depth and qualities it feels as though you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are graphically detailed and descriptive making it easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Fantastic job Allyson, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
A HFN ending as the adventure and mayhem are set to continue …
This latest installment in the Legacy series is jam-packed with plenty of action, adventure, drama, angst, conflict, subterfuge and treachery. It’s a well written story with compelling characters – including some powerful Norse gods, and a twist I hadn’t anticipated. I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. The memories of Kirby’s past lives have bombarded her brain and she’s struggling to reconcile those women with the badass assassin she is today. All this while plotting the downfall of T.O.M. and coming to grips with her Valkyrie abilities and her previous relationships with her lovers. I’m enjoying this entertaining tale, and looking forward to the challenges ahead in ‘Chaos in the Storm’.
Death in the Night: A Reverse Harem Urban Fantasy Series, book three continues with Kirby getting her memory back, but something doesn't seem right as they don't seem like her own memories. She must figure out what is real and what isn't while continuing to fight Tom, Hel, and Loki. Wax and wane with Kirby's romantic relationships, with sizzling hot moments shimmering through. Explosive secrets swirling through the pages. Unexpected twists bleed through the pages leaving you in suspense. The ending ends with a bombshell leaving you waiting for the next book in the series.
This storyline really keeps you on your toes. I was immediately drawn into it all. A lot is going on with Kirby getting her memory back and still trying to fight TOM, Hel, and Loki. Her love life has serious peaks and valleys in this installment, especially the relationships. The cliffhanger is epic. If you’re into fantasy, this tale is so cool, take the time for this trilogy.
So much has happened that one book cannot contain it all and we are at book 3. Kirby makes some decisions and some are unexpected. We learn what an actual berserker is and meet new characters. The way this book ends could be a conclusion but like a soap opera you become addicted to the characters and want more. Plus the intrigue about Brit becomes mysterious as we dive into more of this saga.
Kirby remembers, remembers it all. But nothing seems like her own memories. In this position, she needs to decide what is true what is fake and who can you call a friend. This story will be full of twists and turns, scorching hot scenes and secrets that will put you on the edge of your chair for the whole time. I can't wait to read book 3 as this book left me having with the shock!
Another great read with twists I didn’t see coming. I really enjoyed this story and I really enjoyed the characters and the ending omg I can’t wait too read the next book in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
