I might have got a reputation for being ruthless, but I've always been a sucker for a hard-luck story.
When Daisy applies for a job as a housekeeper and cook on my small working ranch, and I learn of her predicament, I'm quick to offer my assistance.
I never expect to fall hard and fast, but that's exactly what happens. However, when someone shows up at my door looking for her, it soon becomes evident Daisy hasn't told me everything about her past. When I learn the truth, I'm going to make him pay for ever causing this beautiful woman pain.
What I never expected was that I might have underestimated my opponent. Turns out, he might be even more ruthless than me...

Ava Grace is a full-time writer who specializes in contemporary romance stories. She loves writing about strong women and the even stronger men who fall in love with them.
Her stories are filled with love, laughter and passion and of course the obligatory happy endings that make romance her favorite genre to read and write.
Ava is a British woman, born and bred in a little village in South Wales who shares her home with two large, boisterous cats that she is sadly allergic to. She loves traveling, eating out, and spending time with friends. She despises coffee. She loves the smell of freshly cut grass and hates the smell of lavender. She loves to interact but is usually the quietest person in a group.
She appreciates every person who has taken the time to read one of her stories. If you’ve enjoyed something she's written then anything you can do to help her will make her eternally grateful - even if it's only telling a friend about her books or writing a brief review.
Your support of indie authors like Ava means the world to her.
Very short read about an abused young woman who goes to work for an older rancher. It was mostly light and fluffy with a good amount of smut but was oddly offset by a pretty melodramatic villain arc. The villain was her brother who was jealous that she moved out to be a housekeeper on a ranch. He was violent and crazy and wanted to keep her as his sex toy…so a little rape incest for good fun. This really changed the mood on what was supposed to be a fluffy cowboy novella. Add to that the ABUNDANCE of spelling and grammatical errors, I just couldn’t enjoy this one.
Daisy went to Tyler's ranch for a job as a housekeeper. Her abusive father had just passed. Well he was shot by the sheriff because he was going to kill her sister Scarlett.
Jared the brother returns and is just as abusive as their father was. Tyler saves her and the book ends pretty abrupt.

Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.
I am a sucker for a good age gap romance. I don’t know what it is about that trope but it gets me every time, right in the feels. Make the hero a rugged cowboy and I am all in.
RUTHLESS COWBOY was short, sweet, and had the right amount of angsty turmoil thrown in making this one book I couldn’t put down. I loved every minute of it and devoured Tyler and Daisy’s story up in just minutes. 5 Stars!
Ruthless Cowboy is the fifth book in the Ruthless series. It is the story of Daisy and Tyler Young. If you have read the previous book in the series, Ruthless Mountain Man, then you may remember Daisy who is Scarlett's older sister. This story picks up where the previous book ends but it is Daisy's story. When the Sheriff came to the family farm to let the girls know there was a local rancher who was looking for a housekeeper and cook Daisy knew she wanted the position. Well actually she really needed it as the girls buried the dad a day before and with the ranch being left to their brother there was no where for her to go. So Daisy drives up to the ranch and Tyler opens the door. He takes one look at her and is sure is going to say no. After all she has a black eye and a bruised face, thanks to her father. But when he invites her in and they chat, with her giving him the truth about her being no trouble and her circumstances, and before his brain could catch up with his mouth he hired her. Daisy is extremely happy, relieved and surprised..........a ball of emotion that lets itself out with her crying. You see at twenty-three she had not graduated high school, never held a job and now needed a way to support herself. The next day she moves onto the ranch and starts her new position, like a duck taking to water. Tyler is in his mid-forties and had bought the ranch about ten years ago and had been working to make it successful. He is now a widower when his wife had lost her fight with cancer. They had been high school sweetheart were got married after they finished college. Both Daisy and Tyler are attracted to each other but both think it would be wrong. But Tyler feels protective towards Daisy and also jealous when the farm hands pay her attention, which he shuts down PDQ, after all she has been through so much in her young life she just needs some time to heal is what he tells himself. But when events transpire and someone shows up trying to get Daisy things get triggered between them that there is no turning back from.
I really loved Daisy and Tyler's story. Be warned that there are some triggers in Daisy's story and I did shed more than a few tears. But I also cheered for her and Tyler. Both characters are well developed and have a lot of depth to them. They have each suffered gut wrenching tragedy and pain in their lives. But when they do come together finally that part of them both lifts and the joy in life returns. They make each other happy and very satisfied. This story-line is well written and grabbed me from the beginning until the end. We also get an introduction to Tyler's brother Colton, the lead singer is a chart topping rock band. Colton comes back home when the band tour finishes and it seems we are going to get his story in the next book.
Needs an epilogue. This book is captivating and draws the reader in and does not let go even after the last page with a well written astonishing plot and characters with depth and growth tangled with realistic array of emotions. I did read Scarlett's book and this story read easier and better once you have that background.
The book opens with Daisy looking for a job after her abusive father was shot and killed by the local sheriff. She meets Tyler who's protective instincts kick in and he offers her the housekeeping job while falling for her. Unfortunately Tyler believes he is too old for Daisy and keeps his distance, until Daisy confronts him. Tyler is very protective of Daisy and when her brother Jared shows up, Tyler and the sheriff is there to save the day. The emotional and heart wrenching with the trauma that Daisy went through as a child and was still subjected to as an adult at the hands of her father and brother was appalling. The end came rather sudden and definitely needs an epilogue to round the story off.
It was a quick emotional at times read and while very short the author still manages to convey the passion, feelings and emotions. The book mentions abuse such as child, sexual and physical and it could be a trigger for sensitive readers.

A lovely tender healing story... How the lovely heroine & her sister withstood the pain & suffering inflicted on them by their father & the seriously sleazy brother is beyond me but their inner strength gave them survival mode mentalities whilst their visible scars healed. The younger sister fled to another state & after yet another beating from her father the sheriff puts an end to his life & sets her on the path to apply for a job as a housekeeper for an older man & his ranch hands. She settles in quickly, tries to suppress the feelings she has for the cowboy whilst his employees are all attracted to her appreciating her curves & her cooking skills. As much as he tries to dampen his attraction for the damaged beauty the rancher can't resist temptation & when her brother finds her & tries to beat her into submission so he can rape her the hero comes to her rescue. They give in to their increasing desire for each other ...phew! & when her brother is arrested for murder she can truly relax into their relationship which leads to their happy ever after. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
MODERN COUNTRY ROMANCE... Summary: Daisy, the daughter of a deceased abusive father has been hired to cook and other housekeeping responsibilities on Tylers’ ranch. All goes well between Daisy and Tyler, in fact they move quickly into a romantic relationship, when who shows up banging on Tylers’ front door, Jordan, who is also abusive and beyond to Daisy. An unexpected event occurred when a PI is called in by Tyler’s brother, Coltan, the Rock Star. What was found? How will that information impact Daisy and Tyler’s relationship? Recommendation: I am recommending this book even though I wish there was an Epilogue going out by just a couple of years. Then I think I would have had the sense of full closure that I needed. But overall the scenes and characters blended well together giving the right flow from chapter to chapter. I also think the writer did a wonderful job with the antagonist who was spot on mean to everybody, there were no favorites. Peace

Daisy applies for a job as a live in cook and maid at Tyler's ranch. When she shows up for the interview with a bruise on her cheek, he is moved to keep and protect her. She let him know her father had done it, but he was now dead and buried. That's why she needs the job, to take care of herself. Her brother was left everything and her sister was leaving town to live in California with her boyfriend. Tyler and Daisy are drawn to each other and eventually she kisses him and he gives in, wanting her but not wanting to push. Her brother, Jared comes back thinking he can have Daisy and he wants her to be his. She refuses him and Tyler kicks him off the ranch, but one day while Tyler is in town, Jared walks in the back door, starts smacking her around and threatening her and drags her back to his place. He gets more drunk and when she tries to run, he tries to get between her legs to assault her. Tyler bursts in and saves her and punches Jared. This deserved a much better ending. A proposal, an epilogue of the wedding day, or a pregnancy announcement. This just fizzled out at the end. Very disappointing.

Tyler is not ruthless he is determined. He is not gonna let anybody or any one or anything hurt Daisy ever again. That is his song swear. Daisy is the older sister in the series who is just as abuses her younger sister Scarlet. She is left in Texas because she did not want to be a burden on her sister Scarlet who just found her new Bo and working. Scarlet is a whole another story, you have to look up the author. Needing a job she was referred to Tyler by the sheriff. Showing up from her last abusive encounter with her father Tyler was extremely hesitant. Excepting her as a housekeeper, as the relationship grew so that his affections for her. And vice versa. But there is a villain in the story and he is out to get Daisy. Tyler will stop at nothing to protect her. No cliffhanger. Suspenseful, little. Steamy, yes. No cliff

Not all men are alike as Daisy learned after her father died. Her father and brother were terrible abusive men and would never do anything considered women's work, but when Daisy went to work for Tyler, she discovered a whole different type of man. One that would help a woman do her work and treat her kindly. Daisy was attracted to Tyler the moment she met him, and Tyler noticed Daisy as well, but he told himself that he was to old for her. Daisy did not care, she was through with men tell her what to do. Tyler had told her she was safe, and she could do what she wanted. Tyler made Daisy a better person as he was able to give her the encouragement she needed to stand-up and he herself the strong independent woman she was meant to be.

I was pleased to see that Daisy from book 4 of this series was getting her story told, I was surprised to find out it was more than I'd gleamed from the previous book, but in hindsight I really shouldn't have been.
Daisy and Tyler have instant attraction when they meet, and it only gets stronger. I liked the difference knowing Tyler brought to Daisy and the respect that Tyler showed for, and to Daisy. The story moves along at a quick pace and comes with trigger warnings of both physical and sexual abuse, but I thought these were dealt with sensitively and that the connection between Daisy and Tyler shone brightly over the darker parts of the book.

Another great read from the very talented Ava Grace I have loved every book in this series and this one is no exception While this book does have some rather distressing topics in it you are warned so it is at your own discretion
Daisy and her sister Scarlett have been abused most of their life first by their father and then by their brother Jared Scarlett has managed to escape and now Daisy is hoping to escape She ends up working as the housekeeper for Tyler a man who has a reputation for been ruthless She soon discovers he isn't what people say he is willing to help her with her work and she feels safe with him before long the start to fall in love but danger is stalking closer with her brother about to come after her Can Tyler keep her safe You will have to read to see
If you read the first book this story is about the sister Daisy who stays in Texas and works as a housekeeper and cook for Tyler the owner of another ranch. The sheriff had to shoot Daisy's father to stop him from shooting one of his daughters. The girls had been abused all their lives buy either their father or their brother Jared. She is working out really great at the ranch that Tyler owns and they are intensely attracted to each other. But now the nasty brother is sniffing around. Can Tyler protect her from her brother who is worse that their father was? Great suspense and romance. Recommend both stories as they are both awesome. I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Daisy and her sister have suffered nothing but abuse over the years from their father and brother. Daisy got a job on Tylers ranch as a live in house keeper. Tyler has seen her bruises but does not know the whole story. They are attracted to each other, but he is older and believes nothing could happen. Her brother decides he is taking her and Tyler keeps her safe. He will have to find a way to protect her because her brother is not giving up. I thought the storyline was well written with good characters. I enjoyed reading their story

This book brings us Tyler, a ranch owner who is looking for a new cook, and Daisy, who applies for the job, even though she has no real experience except for feeding her brother and father. Daisy has had a tough life, her brother and father were not nice men, so when Daisy arrives at the ranch with a black eye, Tyler gives her a chance. Daisy does prove herself and is an excellent cook. Tyler becomes very protective of her, but is older than she is, so he tries to stay away from her. However, Daisy is also aware of the chemistry, and she doesn't shy away from him. There is a twist to the story, but I would have loved an epilogue. It was a great read. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
Tyler runs a small ranch and has advertised for a housekeeper and cook. Daisy is hoping she can get the job. Daisy is young. Her father and brother had abused her and she really needs a job and a place to live. Tyler is a straight shooter and he believes Daisy is in need of protection and a job. Tyler is attracted to Daisy. Daisy and Tyler get into a nice rhythm on the ranch. They talk, eat together, watch tv and very attracted to each other. They care about each other. They have a growing love with tenderness and passion and caring. I loved the characters and the story. Great read! I thought the title didn’t really go with the story.

Tyler needs a housekeeper and cook and Daisy shows up to interview for the position. Daisy has had a rough life so far and when she arrives for her interview she has a black eye courtesy of her deceased father. Tyler surprises himself when he hires Daisy because he originally wasn't going to. Daisy is ecstatic about her new start and wants to make the most of this chance. Sparks fly between them and soon things change between them. Will Tyler see that he is the man Daisy needs? Can Daisy move on from her past traumas?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Daisy needs a job. The ranch needs a woman in house for their rescue operation. Tyler takes her under his wing and their lives unroll with a slowness not unlike the Texas drawl the characters use. She's instantly in love with the working ranch and her duties as house mother, even learning to cook. But she keeps secrets and Tyler isn't having that. Not only does she appeal to him as a woman, there's something about Daisy that wakes a deeper sensuality inside of him. There are twists and turns before they get to their HFN.

Meet Tyler a true western gentleman. A true western gentleman Tyler hires Daisy as his cook and housekeeper he does know some of her story just not all. Daisy is slow to trust coming from a home full of abuse the character holds back. The secrets that she keeps makes Tyler a bit worried but the chemistry between the two is great. When the big challenge does come you so want them to work together to solve it and end up together. The characters were great and the piece well-written taking on some serious issues. This is a book I am happy to recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is Daisy and her story. After their father dies and Scarlett takes off, Daisy gets a job with Tyler. Her brother Jarred calls as she is leaving and he starts being Jarred right away. Jarred goes to where Daisy is staying and threatens her. These are all well written characters that you can see that there is something to everyone. This is another installment and it was just as good as the other. I hope there is more to come.

This series continues to pull at my emotions from nerve wrecking to mind blowing to forever ever after. This book is Daisy story and her meeting Tyler and becoming independent. However, things never go quite on a straight path but if meant to be it gets there.
Meeting Tyler was the confidence builder Daisy needed. Additional, she gained self esteem, inner strength and healing. I loved this book from beginning to end.

Ava has done it again with another great book. As I say with all the books I love to read, the story just flowed from start to finish for me. This one has a bit more drama in it than I like to read about. Still very well written though, I never found any spelling mistakes or any holes in the plot of the book at all. I characters worked well together and I had a somewhat great connection to them as well. If you like drama in a hot book, this book can be recommended to others over the age of 18+

This is a short, intense and dramatic story. Tyler needs a housekeeper, so when his buddy Joe, who happens to be the sheriff, recommends sisters and one shows up, he hires her. Daisy just buried her father and needs a job and a fresh start in life, so when the sheriff tells her about a job, she applies for, and gets it. Daisy's home life wasn't pretty, her father was an alcoholic who beat up both sisters, and her brother is creepy. The title of the book implies that Tyler is ruthless, but really he's just kind, caring and protective. This is a quick read that you won't be able to put down.
I'm not sure what is so ruthless about Tyler but this steamy romance novella was an enjoyable read. Tyler is a widower, a rancher in his 40's, and in need of a housekeeper/cook. Twenty-three year old Daisy is the sweet young woman that he hires and soon finds himself falling for. The attraction is mutual.
If anyone needs a protector, it's Daisy, and Tyler fits the bill perfectly. I liked the characters and the story kept me engaged from beginning to HEA.
