Because this is a 4-in-1 book I will be up front and say that the overall rating was brought down by only one of the books here.

The first book, Stoic Life, was a big letdown for me. What I expected was a book on Stoicism and how it can be applied to our daily lives. What I read fell far short. Massimo seemed to only skim the surface, briefly touching on Stoicism's history, then occasionally referred to it throughout. The problem is that he seemed to be referring to the modern meaning of the word stoic as opposed to the actual philosophy (with a capital S). Given the content of the book, the title seemed misleading and as I read I grew impatient as I waited for him to talk about actual Stoicism, which never really came. Was it a good book overall? Yes. Is the title a tad misleading? I'm my opinion, yes.

That said...

The other three books, while not flawless (Massimo is, like all of us only human, after all), were excellent. The advice and techniques he talks about are applicable to life and WILL help you not only achieve more, but be a better human being.

My original review was going to give this 4-in-1 a three star rating. While writing this review, however, I think it's a solid 4. Great job, Massimo. I appreciate that you wrote these and look forward to future writings.
