Prep Chemistry

This text is designed to help students improve their chemical problem solving skills. The use of calculators and significant figures is integrated into all of the topics. Alternate methods of solving problems are given (e.g. bal- ancing electron exchange equations is shown by the picture method, the arrow method, and the half-reaction method). Complex problems are solved by one set-up, rather than solving several single steps. Unit analysis is used through- out, and there are problem sets to reinforce each concept.
