Brace yourself for this three-book introduction to a world filled with action, humor, and heaps of shifter romance!

Every millennium, six uniquely gifted women are born to keep the balance between the races. While humans think they are alone, the werewolves are barely surviving, and a third race responsible for culling their numbers remains hidden from all.

This bundle contains three books:

Hope(less) - As a human, Gabby is determined to leave the supernatural world behind. However, she doesn't count on meeting a silent, ruggedly-handsome werewolf with a single-minded determination to make her his mate.  When she tries to run, he's not the only one to follow.  Something truly dangerous is after her, and Gabby must turn to Clay for help if she ever hopes to discover who is hunting her for the secrets she's spent her whole life protecting.

(Mis)fortune - Kept prisoner by a man who changes into a wolf and used for the predictions that tormented her, Michelle meekly follows orders to keep her brothers safe. She knows she needs to escape but there's nowhere she can hide forever, and no one who can protect her. Unless she can find someone stronger than her captor.

(Un)wise - When the dreams start, Bethi's very normal life goes down the toilet. Every past life she relives has Dog-men and her eventual tormented death at their hands. This time she's determined to find a way to live. While the dreams hint at an answer, they're also clear about the risk, and it's not only her life that hangs in the balance. She, and the other five women like her, need to figure out how to live...or everyone will die.

4 stars overall!! A very intriguing new series with a unique take on werewolves and great world building for the other paranormal phenomenon contained within it. I loved the little notes the author wrote to the readers between each book. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Hope(less):

4 stars -- This one was a little bit slower to grab me in the beginning, but I was glad I stuck with it because once Clay appeared, I was all in. I'm not sure if the beginning was just mired down in too many introduction details, or if I just couldn't get a grasp on Gabby, or maybe it was more that I was skeptical about Sam and what all was happening with the werewolf pack, but it made for some slower going...and unfortunately that took a good chunk of the book. Once Clay appeared, I don't know if the book just settled into itself, or if I just personally became more invested because I was intrigued, but I just wanted to dive into the rest.

Gabby was an ok character, but on the whole I couldn't always figure out who she was...I felt like details were missing, or I wasn't getting the whole picture. We'd get the occasional glimpse into her past, but usually we learn a lot more about what's shaped a person, especially one in the foster system who had family that died when they were young. I felt like those were just little details, and would occasionally be brought up to support her not wanting to get attached, but I didn't have full buy-in for some reason. It's like she wasn't consistent. Or like she had all these strange qualities (the spark seeing, the pull on males) that weren't really resolved to my personal tastes when the book ended. I expected them to make up a lot of the book, and I felt like they were the side stories. I might have just missed something though, or maybe we'll find out more in the next books. I was a bit disappointed in that. (like for example -- why in the world didn't she approach Charlene at all in those first 2 years, knowing she was different just like her? I would have been curious, so why wasn't she?)

So how in the world did I still get a 4 star rating is probably what you're thinking, right? Because even me reading all that, I'm thinking that sounds more 3 or 3.5 star to me. Well it was all Clay. That dog-boy won me over without saying a word. Not that that didn't get frustrating, but he was just so sweet and considerate, and quietly there. And I loved how Gabby was *with* Clay. I loved how they interacted. Which is so strange since he spends a lot of the book in his wolf/dog form. He alone was worth 5 stars, and hence balances this book out at a 4 star overall. I CANNOT WAIT to read Clay's Hope from his perspective, I'm so intrigued.

Honestly, he probably could have brought us up to a 4.5 all on his own, but then the ending felt super rushed, and I'd waited the whole book to really see them together and him talking, and get some answers, and all of a sudden it was the end of the book. I know it's to suck you into reading more, but I always feel cheated when I don't get some resolution, so I was a bit cheesed over that. Ah well, I was fully intending to read more books in the series anyways, and I can only hope that either Clay's Hope (the companion novel to this book) or the next books in the Judgement of the Six series answer the questions I have and fulfill me. Thanks for sucking me in Curly Carla! I always love it when our tastes match up!

4.5 stars -- While I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get much followup on the events from the first book, I was at least warned after seeing Curly Carla's review, and there was a note before the book in the box set I am reading, so I was prepared for it. I will say that I am anxious to see Gabby and Michelle meet and learn even more about what is going on in the grand scheme of things, but that's only because we got a pretty good serving of some background in this book and I'm just excited for more.

Michelle was my kind of heroine. I'm not even sure what makes me gravitate towards her, but you could really feel her fear and understand her reactions based on the hand that was dealt to her. And I really liked that we got a bit more information about her past than we did with either Gabby or Clay. I still want to know where their father's are, though I'm starting to wonder if that's part of what makes the girls special. But we at least learned a little bit about what happened to Michelle's Mom and how the meetings with Blake started. I thought the way she cared for her family, and always thought of her brothers first was very authentic. I loved the way we saw how sheltered they were and how that affected them all. I thought in general her reactions to all the information she eventually learned about the werewolves and how she dealt with it was very realistic.

Emmitt was adorable. He was strong, steady, conscientious, and faithful. I loved the way he handled Michelle, trying not to scare her, but trying to protect her and the boys at the same time. Looks like I will definitely be sucking up the cost and reading his POV next. While I love alternative POV books, it's hard to pay full price knowing we'll be getting a lot of repeat. But at the same time I want more Emmitt. It's a rough life right?

I adored Emmitt's brother Jim in this one. He and Nana Wini provided such a great family for Michelle and her brothers, and I LOVED the way Jim and Emmitt would play with and take care of the boys and show them what real life could be like.

I loved that we got to learn a bit more about what these other kinds of werewolves are, the Urbat, and I look forward to even more revelations in the books to come. It was enough to whet my appetite but keep me wanting to come back for more. I'm really intrigued about Elder Joshua, and I found it fascinating how much Sam and the other elders and ack knew about these other kinds before Gabby even started questioning them. That was something I hadn't expected.

All in all it had a sweet romance, great characters, some fantastic action, mystery, suspense, and kept me wanting to read more. Looks like this is a winning series for me so far!

4 stars -- This was the book I was most looking forward to after reading Curly's reviews, and probably what sold me on starting the series in the first place. It definitely isn't my favourite so far, which surprised me, but it's kind of fun knowing that Curly Carla and I have different tastes. There's a part of me that kind of wants to rate it 3.5 stars, but I think that's mostly just because I had high expectations, and wouldn't actually reflect my overall enjoyment of the book.

Bethi was a mixed bag for me. I enjoyed her sass and independence, but at times her hard shell was hard to get past. It's so hard, b/c I understand why she is the way she is -- how could you not end up that way with what she's learning and experiencing in her dreams? And her fear of the werewolves prevents her from feeling all of her emotions because she's worried they will detect them on her...but it also prevents me, as a reader, from truly getting a feel for her. There were these aspects of her that I guess I almost wanted to explore, or needed to know more of to truly connect with her. It was like we were only given a shallow glimpse at times, and it wasn't enough for me. So while I thought she was fantastic, she isn't my favourite so far.

But saying that, I LOVED her gift and what it gave us as readers. I learned so much in this story!! And it was frightening and horrifying and confusing. But I feel like I have a better grip as a whole on where this story is going and what's been going on so far. I will say that I am of two minds with the sheer number of dreams/flashbacks we received. I really enjoyed getting to see glimpses of how the different abilities affected the girls throughout their different lifetimes. I also felt like this really drove home the evilness of the Urbat and what they are doing and wanting to achieve...so much disgust. And I loved getting glimpses into the current incarnations of the other sisters and what they felt growing up. But it got to be a bit much at times. Like, I'm torn. I enjoyed everything I got, but a part of me feels like it was overdone...but then which dreams would I eliminate, you know? Ugh.

And that brings me to Luke. *sigh* Can I admit I was a little disappointed? Luke showed so much personality in Hope(less), and I really feel like we were shortchanged in this novel. BUT. But. But I've been enjoying the companion series, so I'm wondering if when she got to this book she already knew she would be writing the companion series, and so she left a lot for that book? I just don't feel like I know Luke at all, and I get that there is a pull there, but I felt like he was a secondary character in this novel at times. Now don't get me wrong, I ADORED his quiet protection for the first half of the story. He really has his work cut out for him. But I felt like something was missing in the romance area. It felt like Bethi just needed him, and that all that was connecting them was the pull. I would have liked a bit more...something...in the romance department.

So all in all this reads like a terrible review. Sometimes I think I'm a horrible reviewer. I mean, I gave this 4 stars! And I wholeheartedly stand by that! I guess when I just get involved in a series and enjoy it, I need to get all my thoughts out on the page. Maybe it really was a 3.5 star. I don't know. I go with my gut. I'm still enthralled with the series, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. I can't wait to see what Luke's Dream will tell us though. Meanwhile, I'm going to move on to book 4 and find out what Charlene has to tell us.

Hope(less)

I have no idea why I waited so long to start this series. I've heard many good things from outside sources but always found myself putting it off. Well, no longer! I loved this little starter book to the Judgement series. The beginning was a bit iffy for me, with the rapid jumps of time-period without much of a warning. But not too trying to continue on.

At first, especially around Clay, Gabby came off to me as EXTREMELY freaking bossy, and rude as hell. She didn't seem to give the wolves a fair shake (HA!) before judging them. I took her attitude to be a bit superior at first too, which rubbed me the wrong way. And how she first treated Clay didn't improve my opinion of her either. I didn't hate her, but I was hard-pressed to find her actions admirable. But she grew on me, and I in turn grew to love her...

...As did Clay. Like Gabby, he came off as kind of primal (for lack of a better word) to me in the beginning. He never spoke (literally, like AT ALL), and he had a very sure mindset on how he chose to act toward Gabby. He was so loyal and faithful to Gabby, even when she treated him like a mindless animal. He is one steadfast companion, and a remarkable friend and mate to Gabby.

I'm so glad that Ms. Haag came out with the dual POV to this book, though I know I still won't read it till I have finished the series. I'm real bummed that the next book ISN'T Luke's and that I won't be finding out for a whole 'nother book what that cliffhanger ending was all about. *sigh* better get to reading ASAP if I wanna find out those answers.

(Mis)fortune

Wowzah!! I loved book 2 of the Judgment of the Six series even more than book 1! Wasn't expecting that. Took me a while to get around to it, but I'm so glad I finally found the time! Ms. Haag does not disappoint.

Michelle is a fierce, spitfire with a protective side. For years she has been kept in the dark about the "people" around her, but after one dinner goes especially awry, Michelle learns that there is more to those around her than she was given to understand.

With the help of Michelle step-father, she and her brothers run for their lives, being pursued by creatures that Michelle never could have imagined. While running, she find safe haven with an unlikely traveler. With his help, she and her brothers begin their new lives, safe for perhaps the first time in their lives. But there is more to her charming knight than meets the eye.

Michelle comes to many revelations throughout this book that will change her life forever. And with these revelations come some much-needed answers and yet even MORE questions about this new group of werewolves that appear to be popping up everywhere they go.

Also becoming unraveled is the terrible game that these gifted women have become caught up in. What is their purpose for being born? What to the Urbat want with them? How did the Urbat come upon their information on these mystery women? These questions and so much more I hope to find answers to in the upcoming books in this radical series.

(Un)wise

Words cannot begin to describe my thoughts and feelings on this third addition to the Judgment series, but allow me to give it a try.

As of now, Bethi is my all-time favorite Judgment yet. And not just because she has all the answers we have been dying for. Her one-liners are LEGENDARY! She had me aching with sadness one moment and weeping with mirth in the next.

“Oh my God, an accent. Take me, I’m yours.”

“If you come back in, you better be naked too."

“You know, sometimes it helps to name the things you fear. Let’s call the right one Everest and the left one Fuji.”

“I’ll get Tinker Bell ready."

But my all-time favorite one-liner had to be when Bethi stood her ground against the Urbat and said:

"I am the Wisdom of the Judgments and I will not fail again!"

Finally reclaiming her life and her destiny. So dang proud of her!!

All the questions you have been waiting with bated breath for answers to, Bethi has all those for you and so much more. Bethi is the Judgment who remembers. *tears* And what she remembers might FINALLY save her life and the lives of her sisters this go-around. But they all must unite with one another before the Urbat can claim another of them; They must save Courage from their evil clutches, because without Courage, this battle may be lost before it can even begin.

I don't want to touch on this next part for too long, mainly because it annoys the ever-loving FRICK out of me, but for as much as I ADORED Bethi, I COULD NOT STAND Luke. Yes, Yes. I know. He is very near and dear to many readers' hearts, but his arrogance towards Bethi and him consistently being the reason that Bethi had to continue suffering (AND end up having to be the 'bad guy' just to trying to find some peace) pi**ed me off to no end. This did not effect my enjoyment of THIS book (nor my overall rating), because I chose to allow Bethi's winning personality to overshadow the poorness of her mate's.

Overall, I was SO PSYCHED UP for how this book went, and I am so wanting to dive right into book four. And while I do not have the time to get right into it NOW, Winter break is coming, and I intend to enjoy it thoroughly! Highly recommended for all you wolf-lovers out there!!

Very different

But very good too. All three stories follow each other and continue the storyline. I think I liked no 3 the best as it's the one where it all comes together

A fantastic bundle to start the Judgement of Six series.
Book One:
Hope(less) was more than I was more than I was expecting. It surpassed my hopes and dreams that I had for this book. Gabby was perfect. She was not happy with anyone trying to control her or take her options away from her. So she chose a college far enough away that she can make her own decisions. She has to learn with the fact that she's someone special to werewolves and is very important to them.
'Sam had warned me Clay had taken my speck as an invitation to live together. At least, Clay had shown up in his fur.'

Book Two:
(Mis)fortune follows Michelle; a young woman who has been kept a prisoner along with her two younger brothers, knows nothing of werewolves until Blake - her captor - grew canines in front of her. Emmitt wants to help her but she needs to keep her predictions a secret as she fears being used like Blake used her. I really fell into this book and was lost to the world.
'He shook his head slowly, and his growl quieted.
"You're getting me in trouble. Nana is scolding me for growling."
She should. It had scared me. But how did she know? My eyes flicked to the closed apartment door. Was she just outside, listening?"'

Book Three:

(Un)wise follows Bethi whose dreams torment her during her sleep and has trouble staying awake, being pulled into her dreams often. Bethi runs, and she runs. But can she out run Luke who is dead set on protecting her, even from herself.
I felt so devastated for Bethi. Why did she deserve dreams that she dies in every time, no matter whose life she is living through. I loved her adventures with Luke and laughed every time she tried something with Luke. This series is so addictive that I had to keep reading to figure out where the series is going.
'I struggled to escape the pain. My heart thumped heavily as I shifted in my sleep, crying out. A hand soothed a tear from my cheek. Lips pressed against my forehead. A voice whispered, "I'm here."'

Awesome series, addicting, just like potato chips, you can't do just one! I don't own this book set, but I own each individual book from this set- separately (in iBooks).
Hope[Less] is fabulous, I love a strong, loyal, silent type, & boy oh boy, is Clay silent! ;) Clay is wonderful, how can a woman not fall for him. You can feel Hope's feelings develop for him, & the whole time I wished I was in her place to have someone care for me like Clay does her!
[Miss]Fortune is every bit as awesome. Michelle & Emmitt are so sweet. They have so much to overcome before she can claim him. You just can't help but cheer them on. Emmitt is another werewolf to fall in love with, and this book is another piece of the puzzle falling in place in this saga of The Judgment of the Six.
[Un]Wise is also awesome. Bethi & Luke are so perfect together. Bethi is a very important piece of this huge puzzle of The Judgment of the Six. She helps pull everything together. I love her wise-a$$ remarks & she is my favorite of the six ladies. She is the one that gets everyone organized for the next step in their journey.
Awesome addictive werewolf books! Can't wait for the last book in "The Judgement of the Six" series to come out- to see what happens in the end. These books flow so well, have you on the edge of your seat, with a mixture of humor, suspense, drama, excitement, & of course, love. I couldn't put these down. Highly reccomend this series! Also don't miss the companion books, from the men's point of view, I feel like you learn even more details/background from them, & it's not just a retelling of the same story.

I loved the how the relationship developed between Gabby and Clay...the way he worked his way into her life was unique and fun. Watching the love story unfold was beautiful and unexpected. I truly enjoyed it and am looking forward to the the next installments. Definitely recommend.

(Mis)fortune
This one was even better than the first. I loved how Melissa met Emmit and how their story moved. Blake was an added bonus as a wrench in the mix. The family dynamic was captivating. And, it answered questions left open in the first story...Hopeless. I am excited to start the next one. Absolutely recommend!

(Un)wise
These books just keep getting better as each new sister is revealed. The relationship, between Bethi and Luke, is hilarious and intense. She has the untamed angst of a teenager along with the necessary wisdom of an elder. I loved this story and look forward to meeting the remaining sisters. I positively recommend this one.

Amazing!!!!

I first started reading to screen the series for my teenager who is a voracious reader but at an age where it is difficult to find appropriate yet interesting books. I haven't been able to put the series down. The complexity with which the plots grow is impressive and the way new characters are weaved into the stories is incredibly done!

They know they should be able to make their own choices. But fate has her own ideas. They are not happy about any of the stuff that seems to changing their lives for them. They'll not give up their freedom without a fight.
