This was the first book I finished this year and just like all other spiritual books it helped in its different way, but there was nothing new to learn. Maybe because all such spiritual books talk about those same topics in a different way with concentrating on the same essence!
.
Constance Kellough's 'How to Inner Peace' is an ultimate guide to discern the inner consciousness and the way it impacts our lives! Practically speaking, in this world full of rush, we have very little time to stop and look within ourselves and we accept it or not but we can't deny the fact that half of our time we are unconsciously focused on some unnecessary things that cause most of the problems in our lives.
.
We are hardly aware of our true selves in the world where every other day we want to be someone else. This book helps us to become more aware of our diverted and distracted consciousness and direct it within us. With simple methods like mindfulness, meditation, and acceptance and detailed topics like the battle between our ego and the mind, the functioning of chakras, forgiveness, compassion, intelligence at the cellular level; the author gives us different perceptions and opportunities to fix what might be malfunctioning in our unconscious awareness.
.
Now every time I observe things going sideways, I recall all those simple and mindful methods I learned from this book. It's phenomenal how one moment of conscious awareness can connect us with our inner roots and makes all our problems look nothing but delusions because that's what those problems are: unconsciously running on the power of our fear-evoking ego to keep us away from our true self!
.
But guess what? We all have that power within us to screw that evil ego's plans; all we need is a book like this to make us aware of everything we may otherwise never know!

Simply brilliant! I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this book is full of the Truth (yes, with a capital T). The info here is timeless and powerful, and potentially life-changing if you can incorporate it into your life (ideally, at a deep level). To be clear, I rarely outwardly express much emotion, and I'm not trying to exaggerate in any way -- If everyone embraced and lived these ideas, we would live in a much better, much different world. This has my highest recommendation.

I deeply appreciate the ARC for review! I hope this is read world-wide, more importantly absorbed into our collective psyche.

This book was received as an ARC from Namaste Publishing Inc. in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have been waiting for a book that focused on the "HOW" to achieve inner peace and get the mindset needed for getting it. I learned a lot from this book especially about healing and taming the ego. While reading some of the chapters, I started to have flashbacks to my childhood where this information could have not only been useful but would have got me out of situations and memories that I wished never happened. Getting deeper into my thoughts and actually understanding them to better my mindset and discover my true identity. Almost everyone will find at least one thing from this book to benefit from in some way shape or form.

We will consider adding this title to our Self-Help collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

This book was incredibly dense. There was a lot to take in.
I liked the fact that it looked at various different religions - specifically Buddhism. However, it was just so dense I struggled to take it all in.
This is a book that you can't just skim read, or dip in and out of - I feel that this book you have to devote a lot of time to in order to get the most out of it. Because of this, it just wasn't for me.
