I would have finished it sooner but had too many interruptions. It had a great storyline and was short but fast paced. This is a new author for me and I will be checking out her other books. The characters were fun and yes it would be strange to go on a cruise with only female passengers and only male crew. I really liked Blaire and Dorian they were down to earth and Dorian finally found the one female that was his mate so it threw him off his game. Her friend Melanie would drive me crazy as she's nothing but a man whore. Loved the ending and the action, adventure, drama, danger, and the passion and love was phenomenal. They have the summer to deal with before they have their final year. Melanie talks Blaire into going to a bar to have fun but she does not tell her that she signs her up to a karaoke contest. Blaire and Melanie just want to have fun but their is always trouble around them. Now is the time to get the book.

J.P Uvalle is a new author to me, this shifter love story is a quick but good read that I devoured in one sitting!
College student Blaire and her friend win a luxury holiday of a lifetime! They want to have fun, and it certainly seems like the perfect place to do it. Only this trip doesn’t appear to be what it seems. They both have a sense that something is off with it, but try to enjoy it regardless, until things take an unexpected turn!
Captain Dorian, Shifter King or Mr Gorgeous as the girls name him is on the receiving end of an electrifying kiss from Blaire as the result of a dare. This kiss was a game changer for him as it sparked some strong chemistry and feelings. He is feared and obeyed by his tribe and not used to the feelings Blaire brings out in him.
"The energy suddenly shifts in the atmosphere, a crushing blow to my chest. The chatter around us quickly dies, forcing Melanie and me to crane our necks to see what has everyone so speechless. Instantly, my eyes lock onto a man rippling with muscles, his creamy skin—the color of cinnamon is kissed with tribal tattoos and a radiant glow. Fuck me. He has the most gorgeous shade of amber eyes. They call to me, compelling, breaking me down slowly, and no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to keep my limbs from shaking. Mr. Gorgeous walks into the room and fills the place with his Godlike presence, almost as if he owns everyone’s souls"
Blaire and Dorian spend time together on the Island and their chemistry becomes stronger, but Dorian has a job to do and struggles with his conscience, but what will win in the end love or duty!.
This story has it all for a paranormal read, suspense, ritual and romance, with a bit of heat thrown into the mix!

Ritual Island: A Tiger Shifter Romance by JP Uvalle. Blaire and her quirky best friend Melanie finds themselves on a free cruise to Bora Bora. On the cruise things are going well especially when they meet Captain Dorian. However things take a turn for the worst when Blaire sees two crew members throw one of the guest overboard. At this point Blaire knows they need to get off this boat but that wasn't quite so easy. Dorian has never had a connection with any of the women on any of the previous cruises. He has feelings for Blaire and doesn't want her life to be sacrificed. Yes! This story was over the top. Yes! The premise was unbelievable. Regardless I really enjoyed this story. The best friend was ridiculous but Blaire was the exact opposite. Dorian was not only good looking and sexy but a man any woman would want. A cute novella that entertained me. The ending left me with a smile on my face. I enjoyed it. 3.5 stars for me

Ritual Island: A Tiger Shifter Romance is the first book in the ritual Island Shifters series and is the first book that I have read by this author. Blaire & Dorian and Melanie & Flex’s story. Melanie is Blaire’s BFF. Dorian and Flex are shapeshifter tigers.
This is an insta-love romance and I hear this time and time again that when books are so short there isn’t any time to really develop a plot and characters and I have to say that is how I felt with this book. I just wish this book was a little longer; it would have helped this story tremendously.
The story started off well and I think if there had been a little more to the story things would be a little more believable. Although this is a shifter romance and how believable is that? Things get pretty HAWT on Ritual Island. There will be more story since this is book 1 and that should help. I do love shapeshifters so I would love to read more to this story as it develops. For now I will give this book 3.5 stars

Dorian and Blaire meet aboard a cruise ship, but it is not an ordinary cruise ship. This one ends in Bora Bora and all the young ladies on board are staying there as the tiger shifters will not let them leave. Dorian is the captain/king and he feels Blaire is his mate so he does something unexpected as Blaire and her friend Melanie leave safely. The characters had interesting history before and after the island. The romance stirs within them and their friends Melanie and Flex. Suspense hits right from the start as Blaire feels dread at the club and upon boarding the ship. The tension and terror builds from there with twists you will not expect. The ending is worth the read.

This was an amazing shifter paranormal read that had me devouring it in one sitting. This is my first book by this author and now I am hooked and impatiently awaiting the next book. Blaire and Dorian have amazing chemistry and I swear, even from where I was reading I could feel the tension and the sparks in the room. There are secrets, lies, rituals to follow and so much steam I am still feeling it.

This short Book 1 in the Ritual Island Shifters Series is really a well-written story with good characters. The storyline is steamy, emotional and interesting with twists, turns, chemistry and love. The well-crafted characters have a wonderful chemistry between them and are believable. Their story is a real roller-coaster with a lot of ups and downs. Loved it. A must read

It was quick read. I liked the story line but wished it was a little more developed and more realistic. The characters were likable. Dorian and his crew are cursed because of a bad decision, he never thought about rebelling until he met college student, Blair. It was an enjoyable read.

This is the 4th book I've read written by J.P. Uvalle; she has done a great job at writing a good short story; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

This was a quick novella read.... Blaire and her best friend Melanie win a trip on a cruise ship to Bora Bora, but something seems off to Blaire, all the people the ship are young girls like them and all the staff are strikingly handsome men, but Melanie wants her to live a little and so they get on board.
Blaire meets Captain Dorian who has a huge godlike striking presence and is instantly attracted to him. Melanie makes a dare with Blaire to kiss him before midnight and she follows him, grasps her courage with both hands and full on kisses him. The attraction between them is electrifying, but she walks away from him.
Dorian is bewitched by Blaire, she is all he thinks about, but knows not to fall for her, as everything on the ship is definitely not as it seems.
A great little PNR tiger shifter read, a bit on the darker side with human sacrifices, but a good engaging storyline. I look forward to reading more of these.

**First Time Reader** This was a quick and entertaining story about shifters who sacrifice females to keep their powers. From beginning to end it was fantastical. This gave me a great escape from boredom. I would recommend to anyone who wants to read about shifters, danger with some blood shed, heroism, some steamy moments with true mates thrown in.

Shape shifters who are cursed and forced to carry out the ritual sacrifices on a secluded island are shocked when fate has other plans. Captain Dorian is the gorgeous king who orchestrates the plan until he meets Blaire. Blaire is everything he’s ever imagined and he can not deny the attraction. Exciting, steamy, and intense!

This is a new author to me and I will be reading more. Lies, deceit and instant attraction what more could you want in a story? Blaire wins a cruise to Bora Bora but not everything is as it seems with ship’s crew. Captain Dorian captures Blaire’s interest from the moment she spots him but he is hiding a very big secret. Will Blaire survive the secret? Promising start to the series.

Riitual Island by J. P. Uvalle is the first book in the Ritual Island Shifters series. This is a quick paranormal read with shifters, sacrifices, suspense and instalove. It's a fun read, in a dark way. I definitely look forward to reading more in the series.

Blair’s and Melanie win a trip on a cruise to Bora Bora. On the cruise, they find out something is amiss. The crew, all male, are tiger shifters and the guests, all female, are to be a sacrifice to appease the goddess. When Blaire meets the captain, Dorian, he is captivated by her.
Opinion
This is a cute, short story with a HEA. For me, some of the ideas were far fetched, even though I enjoy paranormal books. Overall though, the book pulled together nicely.
It is the first in a series so there will be more fun to be had.

Wow I didn’t expect this kind of story it shocked but it also delighted me. This is the story about Blaire and her best friend Melanie they win a cruise to Bora Bora and when they go to the ship Blaire senses that something is wrong it’s all women no men apart from the workers on the ship but Melanie says that she needs to relax so Blaire goes aboard. There is a reason that there’s only women on this ship it’s sinister so will Blaire and Melanie survive?. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Blaire wins a cruise to Bora Bora and takes her best friend Melanie as her plus one. But something seemed off to Blaire from the beginning. Dorian was the captain of the cruise ship and main shifter on the island. Dorian started questioning the curse when he met Blaire that he and his crew were under. Blaire and Melanie went through a frenzy of dangerous beasts to be freed. Interesting and exciting story with twists and fun ending

This is book number one in this awesome series that I have been hooked on since I opened the first page. I can not wait to read the rest of this awesome series. I love all shifter stories and I really loved and enjoyed this attention grabbing and interesting story. It's a well crafted story with wonderful characters who have an amazing chemistry together. There's plenty of action, suspense, danger, drama, twists and turns to pull you in and make for a great read that had my attention all the way through. I can't wait to read more.

I love shifter stories and I really enjoyed this captivating and interesting story. The story-line and characters are interesting and I like them. I also enjoyed the suspense, intrigue and twists and turns in this story. I look forward to reading more from this writer.
