I live in Texas with my wife, kids, and Border Collie. My wife's cats live here too.

At various times I've worked in a lawnmower shop, managed a bakery, painted signs for money, canvased for an environmental advocacy group, and worked sales in the vitamin industry. Along the way, I found the time to get a degree in English Literature and Philosophy and become a teacher.

Marlin expands on the original Code Flicker with this new sequel, which I found both intriguing and exciting. I previously wrote about the first book in the series:

"Code Flicker is a cyberpunk technothriller with heavy use of dialogue and action sequences that go beyond gunfights to entering the world of data. The book is well edited and a worthy read for anyone who enjoys the genre."

This second book focuses more on the female characters, filling out the world in the process, and bringing a three-dimensional aspect to them. This provides an original perspective while keeping with the vibe of the first novel. Anyone who loved the first will love the revelations of the second in the series!

Oh, my lord, it just hit the fan.

We thought this was going to be just another happy jaunt through cybertown…we were dead wrong. This is a powerful people story, lots of stuff gets blown up, cybernetics are everywhere and real people with their emotions are in the balance. A fast paced storyline I highly recommend.

Exhilarating Read

Love the story. Love the concepts. Love the book. Do pick up a copy if cyberpunk is your genre, or curious about it.
