Note to is an unofficial summary of Jennifer Ashton’s designed to enrich your reading experienceSUMMARY OF THE SELF-CARE SOLUTION BY JENNIFER ASHTON. In a perfect world, you will be reading and practicing the weekly lesson every day. However, things happen. Sometimes life just gets in the way, and we feel like we have little control over our day.My advice would be to avoid a situation like this as much as possible. Discipline is a pre-requisite for success in any area of life. If you end up missing a day despite your best efforts, then I would say get back to the schedule as soon as you can. What you must watch out for is the trap of “I’ll start tomorrow.” This usually happens if you miss one day. You will then feel so guilty about having missed a day that you’d find it difficult to regain the momentum. This is the real danger of missing one day. It makes you lose your momentum and leaves you with guilt. If you miss a day, just accept it lovingly and try your best not to let it happen again. Don’t beat yourself about it, and don’t allow yourself to feel guilty under any circumstance. Start from where you had left, and you’ll do great. However, you must guard against making a habit out of this. Self-care is an empowering habit that you are building, and every day that you spend doing something good for yourself counts in helping you internalize it more deeply. How to Use This BookThis book is designed as a course meant to be taken over three months. There are four lessons each month intended to be studied and practiced every day of the week. If you want, you can read the entire book in one go, but to get maximum benefits out of this carefully designed course, I’d suggest taking things slow and following the step-by-step instructions. You’ll experience great transformation if you do all the exercises that are suggested for the week. I’ll suggest starting on a Sunday or a Monday so that it is easier for you to keep track of your progress. This isn’t imperativeyou can start on any day of the weekall you have to do is keep track of your progress properly. You must be doing something for yourself every day for over three months as you establish a habit here. At first, it might be very difficult for you to find time for yourself. When you do something with consistency for 21 days, it starts becoming a habit. Over time, self-care will become such a natural part of your routine that it will become as pivotal as brushing your teeth and taking a shower every day.

This was a great experience and summary of the book. I truly appreciate your time and energy into making it something that I can implement in my life immediately and I most definitely will do just that. Everything that was discussed was elaborated on in great detail and provided a better understanding of the concepts and how to go about implementing every single one of them.
