Detailed explanations of the xingyi health exercises

This very popular book is the only in English that covers Wang Jiwu's version of the xingyi neigong, a set of calisthenic exercises that are practiced mainly for health and longevity, and as such, an important part of anyone's xingyiquan library. Although detailed explanations and photographs are the primary material of this book, it also contains explanations for and excerpts from the xingyiquan quanpu (classics), Wang Jiwu's methods of practicing santi standing, and a short (somewhat hard to understand) section on xingyiquan's five phases long spear methods. Additionally, there is also an interesting history section featuring biographies of many famous xingyiquan masters, with a focus on the lineage of Wang Jiwu.

This book makes a great companion tome for Sun Lutang's The Study of Xingyiquan, as each book covers very different material - with both, one can have a fairly complete xingyiquan curriculum to study (most of the main barehand sets, a health and longevity set).
