It is a beautiful kind book and an interesting story based on the facts of Rachmaninoff's life. I was surprized many times... Curiously the family and friends played a huge role in his success, and this famous composer experienced what we all have in life: hard work, love, failures, uncertainty, travel, inspiration, suffering, procrastination, illness, wars, pandemics, rumors, media, conflicts, nature admiration, politics...

Minus one star for some fantasies that can't be true (e.g. Rachmaninoff was actually very tall, so he could not look at Tchaikovsky from below during the meeting in person)

In overal I recommend this book, it tends to inspire you and to show you are just as human with similar opportunities ;)
