About the author

T.A. Moorman

25 books627 followers
T. A. resides in Detroit, Michigan with her five children, and the rest of her dysfunctional family, where she was born and raised. She started her writing career in the midst of a very hard time in her life and is now a best-selling author. Her debut and award-winning novel, Witch Wars, and the world of Underlayes, was born from a mind that desperately needed an escape, so she created one.

The novel was inspired by her love of all things paranormal and how she wanted it seen. “We live in a diverse world, shouldn’t all of the characters in books, even paranormal also be diverse,” she says. “I saw so few paranormal books with a diverse cast until I read L. A. Banks. You know, with more than one or two diverse characters thrown in for good measure. Mine have it all, too.”

A mother of five beautiful children, but by far more than just that. T. A. Moorman is an artist, a violinist, a seamstress, a crafter, a writer, a blogger, a reviewer, a dark confidant and a darkly dangerous, fiercely protective friend.

For close to a year, we've all lived the real life of a world locked down by a pandemic. Finally, there is a multitude of stories, all in one place, that takes our anxiety, fear, boredom and isolation - spins it and shows us a parallel universe that is thrilling, exotic, haunting & erotic. Well done, Authors, well done!!!

Great assortment of fantastic stories. There is something for everyone. I couldn't put this set down and ended up finishing it in one morning. Loved the characters and the antics that they got into. This gives you such a variety of different authors. I love finding new authors this way. Highly recommend. I received an ARC copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I won't rate my own, so what I'm saying here excludes my own story.

For all the other authors in this boxed set, I can just say, it's a diverse, exciting and thrilling collection of stories. I enjoyed reading all of them :-)

While I must say this was at times crazy, sexy, then scary some of it was what!?!? I have only read one of these authors before so I was excited to read new ones but some of these novellas I felt just ended abruptly. I was like what happened? If it was a lead to a book who knows? I didn't hate the book/stories but I didn't love it i found myself wanting to skip pages but I didn't I never DNF a book.
Since I did enjoy some of the eleven novellas I would have to give this compilation 3.5 ⭐⭐⭐

I received an ARC from Booksprout for my honest review.

A couple of these stories are great but some I ended just skimming because they were not very good. Some of them didn’t make much sense to me. Warning: they are mostly really dark. I read this series because I like Pebbles Lacasse’s writing and her’s was one of the stories that I enjoyed.

I thought these books were great a little levity during this crazy time we are all facing with the quarateen.

The story telling was spot on and the characters were great in the stories that were represented in the set.

This collection of stories has to do with Covid 19 in some way. There are stories about demons, robots, witches, and more. Most are very short, and some are a bit confusing, but I found most of the stories enjoyable.

Riveting

Dj and Alicia were amazing characters! Separately they were good, but together they kicked ass! They brought a pandemic to a whole new level of crazy and scary

Excluding my own story in this review, I loved the book as a whole. Some of the stories aren’t my cup of tea but the ones that are tickled me just right. I’m honoured to have worked with such wonderful authors.
