But the fourth group is run by the Caretaker—a power-hungry figure who plans to dominate the world. As the survivors of the other factions pull together in an attempt to halt the Caretaker’s malevolent plans, an epic clash between the forces of good and evil ensues. And those who survived the deadly virus must now fight even harder to stay alive.
I heard this was a debut- pretty good for a debut I'd say.
When I started reading this story I was like "yeah, this is gonna be awesome, definitely a 5 star book, let me cancel my plans, maybe it'll be a series!"— all that 'fantastic new story' intro talk. It definitely had a strong 5 star beginning.
But it slowly withered away into meaningless dialogue and unnecessary logistics. It felt like "Nez go with D Rob and Claxton do this and Lil R do that" over and over for filler or something. It just fizzled.
I don't want to criticize, I hate doing that- it was an excellent idea with a very strong start.
And actually, if it turned into a series I would definitely give it a chance. It really just needs some polishing. I do look forward to reading more by this author. I believe he has potential.
