Smart, beautiful and irresistible, Gwin Apollo has the best of intentions. Her special gift is eavesdropping on conversations from troubled women who have been hurt by cheating lovers, and derives great pleasure in relentless quests to teach them a lesson. Unfortunately, her affliction with IED - Intermittent Explosive Disorder, also makes her unpredictable and dangerous. Her pathological anger and rage manifests as chronic resentment, hostility, verbal and physical abuse, deceit and sometimes even murder.A spouse whose partner is plagued by this disorder is often the one who pays the biggest price. In this somewhat dark thriller, Gwin cleverly tricks her husband Eddie into taking the blame for offenses that she committed. He finds himself incarcerated on the wrong side of the glass, in an 8’ x 10’ jail cell, convicted of her sinister crimes. Believing that Eddie has wronged her, she torments him with frequent visits that reveal chilling details about her horrific cold-blooded murders.
I've just finished reading Rick Incorvia's latest novel, "The Wrong Side of the Glass". Having read all of this author's previous books, and since he's a multi-genre writer, I had no idea what to expect.
Once I embarked on Eddie and Gwin's rollercoaster of events, I got completely immersed and couldn't put the book down until I had finished it. I was neither surprised by the author's rich imagination, nor by the clear and engaging writing style or the well-developed characters. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality leap of the author's craftsmanship in weaving thrill, suspense, and twists in a shrewd and thoughtful manner.
"The Wrong Side of the Glass" is also well-edited, which rendered my enjoyment of the book such a smooth sailing.
Looking forward to more novels, travels, and adventures by this author.
Reckless Vigilante 💄 Seeking Covert, Criminalistic Good Times
“Things didn’t go the way Eddie expected. But they did go the way Gwin had planned...”
With her obsessive compulsions, manipulative tendencies, and impulsive outbursts, Gwin made for a dangerously relentless interrogator, enforcer, and main character! Flattened tires and sabotaged lives, fake Facebook accounts and calculated betrayals, self-inflicted injuries and falsified reports... So many deviously devilish details were present throughout this novel. The ups and downs of motherhood, aging, incriminations, and incarcerations were explored, and this fictional story should probably serve as a cautionary tale for anyone who has a tendency to fall for the [unstable] type. I’d recommend this one to any adult reader who enjoys psychological crime thrillers! And remember: “It’s never good to get caught with a shovel in your trunk.”☝🏼So keep that in mind 😉

I don’t usually choose this genre of book but the reviews were good so I thought I’d give it a try. I was hooked from the first page and read it in one day. Wow. The plot twists and turns as we follow Gwin’s mental demise into the twisted life of a psychopath and poor Eddie’s unfortunate and unwilling part in her madness. I have to adjust a couple of her victims probably deserved what they got especially the one man who survived to treat his wife better we hope, but Gwin’s actions will leave you reeling. And just when you think that poor Eddie is finally free in every sense of the word…the chilling closing lines of this story will send ice tricking down your spine! It’s so well written. I never saw anything that needed to be edited. Fabulous story. A real thriller!!
The Wrong Side of the Glass by Rick Incorvia is a riveting crime and mystery novel that introduces readers to Gwin Apollo, a character whose complex psyche and Intermittent Explosive Disorder take center stage in a narrative that's as much about internal battles as external mysteries.
The book dives deep into the themes of justice and vengeance, exploring how Gwin's quest against cheating men spirals into actions that challenge her moral compass and threaten the fabric of her family life.
Incorvia masterfully crafts a story that goes beyond solving a murder into the consequences of our actions and the lengths we go to protect those we love.
Incorvia's narrative stands out for its unique protagonist and the psychological flavor he brings to the readers of the mystery genre.
This book gives an amazing glimpse into the world of characters caught up in their own humanity and life choices. You may find yourself in the characters if you're honest, and you will without question be taken on a journey where you feel empathy for criminal, victim and bystander alike. You will not be disappointed up to the very last page as Author Rick Incorvia executes his plot twists flawlessly. This book keeps you engaged throughout, enticing you into understanding the characters more deeply and solving the crimes up to the last moments! I am hoping for a sequel! Well done Mr. Incorvia!
I recently got lost in a book that was an absolute page-turner, packed with twists and turns I never saw coming. It's the kind of read that's perfect for a day at the beach or a lazy afternoon. The main characters, Gwin and Eddie, are brilliantly crafted – Gwin, especially, with her complex, vengeful nature, is both twisted and fascinating. The writing is top-notch, keeping you on edge the whole time. It's not just your usual love story; it's scandalous, emotional, and thought-provoking. I was so engrossed in their world, I couldn’t put it down.
In Rick Incorvia's fifth book, his intoxicating imagination creates a cunning character named Gwin Apollo, an incredibly successful manipulator, who is also an intelligent and sophisticated serial killer. Driven by her all-consuming rage when encountering cheating boyfriends and husbands, she refuses to let anything stop her from punishing them, even if it means incarcerating her own husband. This is a dark adult thriller that is well-written and will keep the reader engaged right up to its chilling, surprise ending.
This is a great read. Love the story. Two well thought out characters. Absolutely love Gwin even though she is so manipulative and unreliable. She is a fascinating character study. Love her obsessions and manic behavior. With Gwin anything is possible and likely plausible. The fall guy and another great character is Gwin’s Eddie. He deals with the consequences of Gwin. Such a whirlwind of action and so well done. Wish the cover was better, my only ding. Great read.
Read the book reluctantly with increasing disquiet till the end, which became a relief although an anti-climax. The intermittent explosive disorder Gwin is supposed to suffer from is not played out convincingly as most of her actions are premeditated well-thought through to cover her tracks. Instead, the storyline is of a deranged conniving woman living in a fantasy world at the expense of others till the end. Thrilling? No. Deranged vigilantism? Yes. Not for me, thanks.
Gwin and Eddie have a great marriage; on the surface. But her rage gets her into trouble when she decides to even the score, and drags her husband along for the ride. It’s a whirlwind roller coaster of a tale, told from differing viewpoints. How will it end? You’ll have to read this crazy thriller to find out. You’ll be happy you did!
This is one of the novels about perfect crimes that made me sympathize both characters - Eddie and his wife, Gwin. The story placed me right into the interrogation room and kept my attention until the end. It has several good twists and all the characters are well-developed. If you like a good mystery, this is your must-read!
One Wild Ride! Loved this book! The Wrong Side of the Glass is one wild ride as the author takes you through the crimes and thoughts of one unbalanced woman. Gwin is certain be one of the most manipulative and psychotic killers ever thought up. I could say so much more but I do not want to give too much away so read the book!
The Wrong side of the Glass is devilishly awesome. Gwin in a character that you hate to love, and you will love her. The author, Rick Incorvia, leaves you wanted more at the end of every chapter. It's definitely a page turner. Can't wait to see what Gwin is up to in Incorvia's next book, Tow the Line.
I love the way the author developed characters, settings and chaos around the main character winding up prison. I don't feel this woman really loved him. Or did she? Maybe it's just me. Great work.
Well written story of a marriage gone wrong because the wife is crazy and has a bad habit of murdering people. Worse yet she set up her husband to take the fall.
