Against his power, there is no resistance.

In my world, you're either a predator or you're prey.
And the moment I hear a Krenim hunter pursuing me, I know I’m prey.
I hide. But he tracks me.
I run. But he keep chasing until he catches me.

But something changes between us.
He decides to keep me.
To be his pet.

I know that no human male will protect me like he does.
No human male can compare in power or strength.
No matter how much my inner voice insists that this is wrong, and dark, and dangerous, its no I use.
I still crave it.

I know what he is.
An alien invader. A monster.
A killer of my race.
He’s cold. Brutal. Calculating.

But there’s no shame anymore in being his.
Only power.
The power of being with a Krenim.
I know I’ll never go back.

He can take all of me if he wants.
I’ll give it all freely.

I also got this ebook with KU.

This unique and often violent book raises several questions about human nature that are unanswered by the author. Maybe it's all about going with the winners.....

3.5 stars.. I actually have read the second book first, but this one wasn't as good as it, it started getting kinda boring at the last chapters..
But over all though, I enjoyed the story and I'm absolutely gonna read more from this author

I didnt enjoy this book and here's why.

The H rakor is an absolute bastard, he encourages a human to rape Anna and the only way she avoids it is by fighting the man n killing him.

Rakor had no redeemable characters and up to around 70% i was thinking how is this book a romance, there's nothing romantic or sexy about him at all.

I dont like Anna. Her becoming a bride, didnt make me think of thats great i just thought yes she's a traitor and egomaniac. I've read a lot of alien books but the f killing gratuitously other humans just leaves me cold.

The sex was hot for sure but their relationship just didn't work for me

Nope not the sort of H or h I love to read. I need to like them, want them to succeed etc.

This was horror, not romance. Not even dark romance.
I felt sick and had to stop reading at 14%.
Rakor’s actions were horrendous and I don’t think he can say or do anything later in the story that would redeem him. Unless he kills himself. Yeah, that might be work. Rakor dies and Anna finds someone else. Someone, who is not an abusive psychopath.

I was looking for an erotica, sci-fi novel with alpha alien and I have to say this one did not disappoint!

I enjoyed the storyline and how Anna goes from being seen as a slave/pet to turn into a kick-ass woman and seen as an equal by the Krenims.

And the chemistry between Anna and Rakor, it was just SO SMOCKING HOT🔥🔥🔥

I READ THIS SERIES BACKWARDS, SO YEAHHH. INVASION BRIDES SERIES HAS A SIMILAR FORMULA TO THE WRITING, AND ONE COMMON TRAIT IS A HERO WHO STARTS OUT A BRUTISH JERK.

BE WARNED : YOU'LL EITHER LIKE THIS OR WON'T BECAUSE FRANKLY, IT WASN'T THAT GREAT BUT SOMEHOW STILL ENTERTAINING ON A LEVEL.

RAKOR is as bad as Baator in the next book if you still plan to continue reading this series. He's terribly rude, rough and has zero care for the heroine at first, catching her only to sell her at a slave auction. Somehow circumstances happen and he ends up keeping her for himself, feasting upon her and yes there are many (hot) sex scenes. Frankly, this is just smut. I won't even dissect the plot because it was superficial and helps the story to go along. All I wanted to see was the characters' relationship development. I don't think it will be fair to say that there was any significant character development or progression...yet this story's so ridiculous that you can't help but enjoy it for its vulgarity.

ANNA is a typical Zora Black heroine. Not sure what to make of her but at least she kind of holds her own against Rakor. Compared to the next heroine, I think Anna definitely had more spunk and spine, and at least Rakor seemed to appreciate her better past the halfway point.

OVERALL I think you just have to read it to appreciate it, or just thrash it depending on your personal preference. I always enjoy a smutty alien romance once in awhile, and reading this for a few minutes before I have to head off to work for the day? Felt worth it to me.

Well, if you are into females being treated as s*x slaves and human pets, killing, violence and steam, this may be your book. I gave 3 stars because I felt that no emotional connection was developed between the characters at any stage, and because the h kept killing humans. I mean, yes, she lives in a cruel world where survival is everything, but maybe she could at least try to help them? Just not my cup of tea.

Drivel

38% and still didn't understand why such hate from the alien, no back ground to it nothing. I've read enough of this genre to at least get a grasp on it, this is humanity at its most cruel form. Disliked both main characters so there was no saving this. Is there even a plot here except for writing offensive material.

The choices she made!
by sewsummore

After Earth was invaded by the aliens known as Krenim, it's people were hunted, enslaved and subjugated. Anna survived alone by scavenging for food, and keeping one step ahead of the patrols until the day came when she too was captured. Rakor made his living by capturing rebels and selling them to the slave traders. Dirty, malnourished, she was not worth much in her present state, Rakor decided to keep her until her physical condition improved. Rakor had not expected Anna to respond to his attentions the way she had. She should have been fearful but instead she had become aroused by the lust in his eyes. Instead of selling her, Rakor decided to keep Anna as his pet, she was resourceful, intelligent, feisty and resilient and she was his. Raker gave Anna a choice, submit to him and become powerful or remain always a victim. From that time forward, Anna trained and obeyed without complaint. This was a complex story that hooked me from the start, Anna refusal to become a victim set her on a new path that made her both feared and powerful, worthy of becoming a Krenim bride. It was her story that resonated with me the most in this book, the choices she made, and the reasons why!

Initially I struggled with deciding if I felt a 2 or 3 was the most fair rating. What ultimately convinced me to find a 3 more appropriate is that I realized the title of the book is “alien devil”… not “alien morally gray man”.

The MMC of this book is everything the author said he would be from the title. He is a devil and this is dark.

By the end of the novel, we have witnessed such an interesting journey of the FMC from being a strong willed human woman desperate to survive to her being a woman who resents her humanity and the weakness that comes along with it. She is quite literally a self hating human by the end of this novel and it happens like sort of a trickle to a roar.

You can almost pinpoint the moment she decides that if rejecting her humanity and fellow man is what will keep her alive she is willing to do it.

Also there’s like all the smut in this book. Just like… all of it.

Let Me Tell You Why I Loved This!

I absolutely loved this book, but let me tell you why. Spoiler Alerts up ahead!

From the moment Rakor decided to keep Anna I was literally praying for Mr. & Mrs. Smith vibes and that's what I got. Watching the two of them together was funny, sweet and strategic. The growth Anna went through completely transformed into her nothing less than a bad ass who could hold her own.

I will say that Rakor was an A**hole from the beginning, but to where you couldn't hate him cause he made you laugh. Well he made me laugh, but his growing connection with Anna was so sweet and he is the reason that she was able to transform. They were absolutely perfect for each other and this is what I like to see.

If I could rate it higher I would. But for now Five Stars and would definitely recommend!

Loved this sci-fi plot aliens are on Earth and humans are basically slaves or properties, humans became weak, marauders, afraid, no proud, no scruples to kill And use woman and children , being worse than the Krilon they conquered Earth and they think humans are weak and have no proud or tactical skills. Anna is by herself scavenging to survive when she is captured by Rakor a very tough and proud Krilon he sees something on Anna and he decides to start to train her , his offer is do you want to be prey or hunter ? I loved her journey and how she changed from victim to predator , I loved the power exchange and how she submits. The book is so hot.....

This is my first time reading this author and wow what an introduction this book is. The author does a good job with how the human, Anna, evolves and changes to become a mate to Rakor. There is a lot going on in this story with how people adapt and learn to survive. There is also a lot of violence and steam as well. It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.

decent

really rife with typos that threw the story out of whack at times. a good edit for those plus a little nudge in the direction of cleaning up the plot (it was kind of just......there with no real direction, honestly) could make it a 4 star. overall,an ok read to while away the time, but nothing truly special or spectacular. my thoughts only. feel free to read and form yoyr own opinion.

3/5 🌟

“—Me gusta eso —susurró Rakor en mi oído—. Quiero que grites al final.
—Lo que quieras —susurré. No me rendiría fácilmente—.

She’s his prey and the only outcome, you cannot out run him. He is a brute of an alien but something clicks between them. No one can protect her like he does. The chemistry is strong and I really enjoyed this storyline I was hooked. I found the book so easy to read and easy to follow.

Great dark sci-fi romance

If you like your sci-fi romance dark, this one is DARK. It’s brutal and heartless, but, surprisingly, you still root for Anna and Rakor. I liked how Anna’s inner and outer strength grew, and even found myself applauding her triumphs. An enjoyable read throughout, although I’ll admit I skimmed over some of the more brutal parts.

Different

It’s not that Dark. If u don’t read dark often then yes it will be Dark but if you read dark, it’s sort of vanilla. The scenes are steamy but it’s a pretty quick book and a good chunk of that is steamy scenes. It’s a quick fun read.

pretty good

I liked this story. The female lead was NOT an airhead. Thank you for that. The author made an interesting choice for her loyalties. I found it disturbing at first.
I would recommend this to fans of the fated mates genre. It has a different take.

Was not a fan of this book at all. Although there is 'a happy ever after', (sorta) I did not like that Anna turned her back on humans and accepted the mass enslavement of her species. Survival is paramount, but the deep compartmentalization is just not my cup of tea. I had hoped that the author would turn it around at the end of the book and work towards a possible solution regarding the inequality of the species. Or at least hint it was a possibility in future books. However, the author ended it with, 'Krenims were right, humans are nothing but animals'. Very disappointing since the writing style was great.
