Eskildsen and Rinne traveled to South Africa twice where they met, spoke, and lived with the residents of several tiny villages. What emerged from their encounters were vivid social portraits, texts, and a group of rare field recordings of the villagers singing. Beautifully printed, this book deserves wide acclaim and a home in many collections. Music CD included.

A very, very beautiful book about the life & culture in small places in South Africa, written, designed and photographed by Joakim Eskildsen& Cia Rinne. The whole book, with inlaid CD, is an mazing piece of art.
