Have you ever watched CSI or NCIS well those are based on forensic science; The Crime Scene: How Forensic Science Works is an amazing book for anyone interested in forensic science. “The Crime Scene: How Forensic Science Works is an essential part of a well- rounded bookshelf for any lawyer or student of science” - Robert Conflitti, New York Criminal Prosecutor. The book talks about many important and interesting aspects of forensic science including Fingerprints, DNA/Blood, Evidence Collection, and much more. The book is structured according to different aspects of forensic science, each aspect is a different chapter which makes it very easy to read also there are many diagrams and pictures to help explain things. Also there is a table of contents which allows for easy access of information. I thought that the authors writing style was very good and interesting to read because of detail and how he formatted information in a very logical way, one reason his writing style is nice and interesting to read is because he is seemingly very unbiased and credible. Overall I think that this was a great and interesting book.

A good, quick read, dispelling my CSI and Law & Order notions of how forensics works. If I were looking for a career today, I would love to get into this. The hard, raw science appeals to me, along with its practical applications.

This is a text book. It touches on many of the areas that you would expect in any beginning class. It was interesting to see how many things the films and movies get right - but then I realized that they probably read this book too. I enjoyed and did learn from it.

This is a clear and concise treatment of the subject. There are charts and photographs to help understand the finer points of forensic science.

The subject boggles the mind. Reading this was like taking a college course.
