An American Divorce: A Profound Protest Against The Politics Of Guilt And Fascism

Rate this book
Is the United States facing a second Civil War? Roughly 70% of Americans believe another Civil War could occur in today’s political climate. And it is easy to understand why. Escalating racial tensions. Two impeachments in the last four presidencies. A partisan divide perhaps greater than that of the 1860s. With impeccable timing, An American Divorce contemplates “divorce” in the United States. While many pundits have opinions as to “why” the US is so divided, this book attempts to answer the broader question of whether both sides should simply agree to disagree, and consider the pros and cons of going their own separate ways. In what could best be described as the ultimate game of revolutionary poker, the writer brilliantly contemplates the radical idea of "divorce" in America. Writing under a pseudonym to ensure his freedom to speak hard truths, the author contemplates the political, cultural, and geographical ramifications associated with a "good" and "bad" breakup of the United States of America. From the benign to the revolutionary, An American Divorce has the potential to expand today’s media conversation into an all-out mass-movement frenzy about why it may simply be too late for Americans to unify. In contemplating the radical idea of divorce in the US, the author explores the following
•Why is the USA facing a revolutionary environment no less profound than that of the Civil War?

•Can the United States once again find democratic purpose and normalcy-or is today the time to openly discuss the ramifications of a geographical separation?

•Can a new political party break the gridlock in Washington D.C?

•Should Americans demand a constitutional convention to discuss breaking up the USA by geography?

•Or are both sides heading on an "ugly" divorce path that could ultimately be decided by an undemocratic set of circumstances?
Republicans may be surprised—but the author doesn’t want to destroy everyday Democrats. Nor is this book based on the ignorant and primitive idea of dividing the United States by race. Rather, An American Divorce targets the “Marxist thought police”—social science academics, radical leftist agitators, and those college-educated radicals who use the vehicle of social justice to pursue an intellectual fantasyland that will never exist.
Released as the nation is reeling from a global pandemic, economic uncertainty, and racial and civil unrest, this book is a must-read for those Americans who hope to move beyond the hate, division, and dysfunction that we today call the United States of America. Controversial, provocative, and revolutionary, An American Divorce is urgent reading for our troubled times.

An American Divorce: A Profound Protest Against the Politics of Guilt and Fascism has opened my eyes. Before reading J. N. Welch’s book, I hadn’t kept up with American politics as much as I should have. Though I have noticed what the media has shared, I haven’t had the chance to really immerse myself with all the details of what’s going on in the country. Welch’s nonfiction book makes it easy to grasp and understand the disarray, especially for those that get confused with the political language.

Each chapter focuses on a different topic, including schools, gender, race, and, of course, the political parties (what they represent, what they aspire to do, and how they might achieve it). Overall, this book predicts the different paths that the US could follow—some good and some not so good—and warns us about the possibility of a civil war or even a war with another country.

If you’re a US citizen or a potential immigrant wanting to relocate here, I highly recommend you read this book! It’s important to know what we’re all getting ourselves into!

This country has many issues that there can be no compromise on. Therefore ,the author proposes the idea of splitting the country into 2 countries (which leads to the title of the book AN AMERICAN DIVORCE.

I agree that there is no compromise on many issues. Rather than a divorce, I would look at it when a business breaks up. It has many advisors and it is done fairly and peaceably. It would take a tremendous amount of planning and experience.

This book does not go into any details abut HOW the breakup could occur but WHY. He gives many significant area that are currently in dispute.

The book reminded me that several famous people said they would leave the country when their pick for president did not get in

I look forward to book 2 which could address the HOW for the areas that are beyond reconciliation.

Thoughtful commentary on the state of polarization in our country and possible pathways of resolution. Identifies the source of decay as from elite university system, slow indoctrination of a generation and the unwillingness of conservatives/'traditionalists' to push back.

An American Divorce - A Profound Protest Against the Politics of Guilt and Fascism. by J.N. Welch.
Can we ever be free of ‘the shackles of tyrants, monarchs and warlords?’ That was the first question raised in this incredible book.

Is the US really a ‘sham’ that left out slaves, native Americans and women? This book is packed with thought-provoking questions.

The author writes about cancer in the marriage, how people were pitted against each other through politicians, both Democrat and Republican, lying to the masses from the Vietnam War until today.

This book raises question after question. For example regarding today’s teaching, are teachers good educators or simply the ‘pawns’ of the left-wing?

I assume the facts and figures presented here are correct - truly mind-blowing details about the Black Lives Matter movement.

‘A colourblind society will be found when enough whites, blacks, and browns look at each other for the first time and say, ‘friend we are in this together as Americans. Judge me as an individual, and let’s put our country together.’

I am English, white, and live in Asia, not so confusing you may agree. This book explains the feeling between, white, black and brown taking into consideration the major religions. The Muslim faith was split when Mohammed passed. We have Catholic, Protestant not forgetting Jewish people. Not easy to keep all happy! And a divorce?

What an eye-opener, skin colours, religions and sexuality an incredible mix. The haves the have nots, blue-collar, white-collar. This book made me think in a way I’d never done before.

Good luck with the divorce - then start on global warming!

A Revolutionary Tale...

Most definitely wouldn't have been my first selection this year however a friend recommended this book so I could gain some insights into her world. J.N. Welch tackles the most controversial disagreements in our current state of this Union. While the viewpoints are not of my own I can rather see how there other side may feel and now experience for the shift in power and awareness has gone beyond the reached of the red states. But why must it be a divorce? Surely common ground and compromise can reshape and reinvigorate our great country. Think it's time be begin listening to each other instead of those who wish to keep us separated. Not an easy read for the sensitive at heart but a necessary read to arm yourself with insight! Recommending to a friend next...

If 0 stars was an option that’s what it would get. I cant decide if I want to burn, recycle, or let it collect dust. This book is full of contradictions, it’s overarching theme is that academia from grade school to college is brainwashing our culture into caring about equality for all. And that the “right” way to fix our country is for a dictator to come in and restore our country into order. If you ever wanted to know how we get to a dystopian future like the Handmaid’s Tale then this is for you. If you are a “leftist looney” as this goofball writes, we are the problem and this book will just enrage you. Do yourself a favor and read a real book on our culture like Caste.

Great Book

I have two kids who became progressive from college. I sent this book to them. I don’t know how things are going to play out, but both my kids read this book without putting it down.

A very great read. Thought-provoking. Hopefully, many others would critically think as they analyze the current situation of the society as a whole.

A Must Read

I enjoyed this Author’s uncanny and astute observations as to what is undermining our country. I agree that the main culprit in our demise has been our oblivity toward a propagandizing educational system. I’m not sure I would recommend a voter boycott however. I believe the country is too dominated by Big Tech, oligarchs, political elites, and foreign actors, for that to send a viable message, and the damage that will be done may impair later efforts to have a negotiated divorce. In any event, every Patriot should read this book. All Americans need to understand the dire straits the country is facing.

Introspect

Mr.Welch opens our eyes and senses to help us analyze the massive problems that each of us face as citizens of this country. We are devided. We have even lost the ability and capacity to debate issues without the fear of Being blacklisted or shot.
