Terry has over 25 years experience in governmental accountancy, debits, credits, budget monitoring and spread sheets form his daily grind. To escape this hell he enjoys classic dystopian Sci-Fi. For fun he writes various categories of Sci-Fi and alternate histories.
As a youth delighting in Aesop’s fables, he grew to love allegorical fiction. His work; be it Vikings, aliens or killer robots; has something to say about the world we live in.
This story is told in three books. Three perspectives of an alien invasion, before, during and after.
Book one: Jon is certain the little grey men aren't alien, they emanate from Earth but he can't prove this theory. Meanwhile, Dan longs for contact, the meeting of two worlds a shared universe of intelligent life. Jon challenges Dan's beliefs. Dan begins to question, ultimately finding definitive answers.
Book two: Curtis and Melissa attempt to evade abduction or death during the invasion of Philadelphia. Irritated by his new companion, Curtis knows he will not survive without her help. Theorising what has happened the pair are our only insight into the bigger picture. Lost in a new world; kicked out of 'the communication age,' they try to figure out what's happening. Immediate survival and finding loved ones now their only goals in life.
Book three: U.S.A.F. Pilot 'Vassal' and his door gunner 'Nixon' fly over the Great Plains of America. Their role to track down and kill the last remaining alien invaders hiding in the wilds. Television and military communications the only clues to events taking place outside their base. With the arrival of two cadets, Vassal begins to question his life, his role, the whole point of his endless boring duties.
Because this is important to some people, please note there is a fair sprinkling of swear words in this novel, especially the first book. With the third book set in a future age, I didn’t feel modern profanities would work so these characters use new verbal expletives.
Note: This is a true self-published novel. I do it all, the development, the writing, the editing, the layout, the cover art. Please forgive me if it is less than perfect. I really like the story but then I am biased.
Also note this is a stand alone novel, not part of a series.
