She has published several novels in Arabic, including The Sumerian Tales series, set in ancient Mesopotamia 2500BC, and Doves and Ravens, which tackles inequality (both with Al-Hafez Publishing, Dubai, 2015). When the Sun Escapes (Al-Adeeb Publishing, Amman-Baghdad, 2008) visualises Babylon and Assyria around 750BC. Zhraa is a medical doctor and researcher. She has MSc in International Primary Healthcare at the University of London, and PhD in Public Health, University of Bedfordshire. She is currently doing research on chronic illnesses and cyber-victimisation.
