One night.
One night forever changed my life.
Parker Massey was the kind of guy I never saw myself falling for.
I loved him.
I saw a forever with him.
And then one night I saw the life leave his eyes right in front of me.
In an instant, forever - as I knew it - was gone.
I don’t want to have to live without him.
Love can be a fickle bitch.

Book 2 of this duet continues where ‘I’m Fine’ left off! That cliffhanger was a doozy! Parker and Avery are on a rollercoaster but things always seem to work out! Laughs and tears throughout this book! The story flowed nicely and everything made sense!
Thank you for the ARC! I’m thankful for the ARC, I just wish there was more.... more!!! (I played the game!) 😉

Author Susan Renee has completely captured me again! This is book 2 of the Village Duet and after leaving us on a cliff hanger with book 1 I was ready to absolutely devour this one! Parker and Averys story was one I have never read before and as an avid reader that doest happen often. But that is the thing about Susan's writing, she dives into topics that are not common in romance novels.

The 1st chapter of this book had me a blubbering, mad, mess! It was quickly made up for with the rest of the book of course! Until the end where I was a blubbering, happy mess this time. The ending of this book truly gave me goosebumps. Parker and Averys story is as they say "one for the books

This is an awesome continuation to the first book! I have come to love Parker and Avery so much with this duet.

The suspense is unreal just when you start thinking something is going to happen you get flipped on your side and something else completely is going on, and the way this book was put together kept you guessing. I loved every minute of it. I couldn't put this book down, I had to know what was on the next page!

If you like a little drama in your love story, this is a duet for you. You don't want to miss this!

“But sometimes loving someone isn’t enough. Sometimes loving someone means letting them go.”

Oh sweetheart...this book has all the feels! This book has you in tears from page one until done. I cannot believe the battle these two have gone through until they finally find their happily ever after and believe me, its a hard fought ride to get there. These two have an undeniable pull to each other but their own demons keep them apart until they finally smarten up! Susan takes us down a path showing us all the great parts of love and humanity but she also shows us the darkness that lies within. Parker continues to help out the troubled youth, but in doing so shows Avery that sacrifices must be made and she won’t allow his dreams to be sacrificed, therefore sacrifices her own. Parker must now decide if she really is the one for him? Misunderstandings, demons, and troubled teens leave them both fighting for what they truly want...only are they fighting together for it or against each other?

Once I get these tears to calm themselves, I can write coherent sentences. What a perfect follow up to I'm Fine!

The perfect ending to one hella emosh duet.
Sooo many feels, so much sadness, so much heartbreak, so much love.
I'm utterly blown away.
The end of book one all I could say was why Susan, why do you do me like this?? lol...
Now it's thank you Susan. This duet was such a special read.

This book made me cry from the first page.. I know but I love it. It is an amazing book and I love how this story made you believe one thing in the beginning and then you realized that sometimes you shouldn't assume you know everything until you've read a bit more..

Once again Susan did give me the ride of my life and I love the way she writes. This book made me cry and yes I laughed and I felt happy.
But it also made me question what it is like to fall deeply in love with your soulmate and the thought of not having a life with them. Well I do know what it feels like to lose soulmate and think that you can't move on cause it hurts so damn much to think about a life with out that person. It is okay to break down and then get back on your feet and move forward.

Anyway I do recommend this book and yes it has triggers and damn those can hit hard but if you are okay with them then read this book. Well start with I'm fine cause that is the first book and then read this one.

I promise I'm fine and this book is so damn good.

Absolute must!

I’ve had this book duet on my TBR for far too long and it definitely didn’t disappoint. This book starts off right where the first book ended. The love that Avery and Parker have, and how it grows so much more over the course of this story is one I hope to have in my lifetime. There’s a little bit of spice, but it doesn’t over power and is just right when it’s sprinkled throughout. I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone that would listen to me talk about it.

4++ Stars for this continuation!

I love Susan Renee for her Rom-coms so these books really surprised me.. I wouldn't call them dark per se, but there was working through a lot of trauma and some questionable behavior of the MMC in the first book. But seriously, what great books. I could have definitely done with more pages!

Fabulous conclusion

This story is heart rendering, sweet and sexy all at the same time. The characters are compelling and most are appealing. The message in this story is an incredibly important one.
