It was a nice collection of proverbs. I would have liked to know the meaning behind some of them since while most of them are easy to understand some are "out there."

This book includes so many great Yiddish proverbs in both Yiddish (transliterated) and English. Yiddish is such a fun language. Instead of having many really filthy words, it creatively says specific things about people and about life in nicer words. "A dead man is mourned for seven days; a fool, his lifetime." "If the rich could hire others to die for them, the poor could make a good living". Some great nuggets of wisdom come from Yiddish.
