This is a book with several stories. The first is The Bennet Cottage and in that story Mr. Bennet knew he was ill and would not live too much longer so he arranged to take care of his family. He had purchased a small farm near the town of Thurly and when he died his four older daughters went there to live. His wife and youngest daughter were to live at the home to Mr. Philips. Did all go well for them or did other things come to change the way the girls managed their lives. In the Bennet sisters seek peach were under the disapproval of their mother and caused them a great deal of distress. One went to be with her uncle Gardiner and his family and Elizabeth went to be with her godfather and godmother. Did they find their peace there and what happened to them during those stays? In the hedgerows, we find Mr. Bennet passed away and the family had to be separated with two of them going to London to the Gardiner home and two to live with Mr. and Mrs. Philips. Mrs. Bennet and Lydia would be sent to a leased cottage o live. How does that work out for everyone and does Mrs. Bennet do right by her daughter lydia?
I truly lAughed and/or cried throughout this book. In this book were three different variations, I truly enjoyed reading these. In all three Mr Bennet dies and the family loses their house. I was intrigued by how Mrs Bennet was portrayed, but totally agreed with it. Love how Charles lost out on Jane in one story. Highly recommended to all to read
2 Stars for effort... (I do not like to be too harsh in my rating and reviews, but this time there is no other way)
I finished but it was painful. The stories were cute and they could have been good. But they seemed to have been dictated as a text message "sent" without re-reading.
There is more to say, but I believe I have already spent as much time on this review as the author spent on writing those stories, therefore, that should be enough.
