Koda always chases the light beyond his broken reality. Tech companies sharply divided the city into two societies: the white-collars who transformed Boulder into the Silicon Valley of the Midwest, and the leftover Boulderites who are abandoned to survive north of the Divided Road. Whenever he needs an escape, Koda and his friends turn to the Axys, the virtual utopia where impossible is only a word. The frontier of this digital universe, created by the Three Kings, sits on the horizon of a groundbreaking immersion. Nanofluid promises a leap in technology to blur the line between the real and the virtual. When the group receives the first batch, their experience reaches beyond anything they could ever imagine. However, the excitement is short-lived when one rig explodes and forever transforms their lives. To find the root issue, they must unearth what lies beneath the surface of paradise, create unexpected alliances, and trust their instincts in the sea of deceiving interests. Traveling between both worlds, Koda must outwit both brilliant and vicious aggressors to prevent the hidden agenda of an industry giant, one who dreams of evolving human society into his image of the future.
Born in Boulder, I grew up around the area and went on to graduate with my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and am now moving toward my Masters in Embedded Systems (Smart Devices, Internet of Things). Growing up in Colorado, I am constantly inspired by the wonder of science and the magic it presents our universe with. I am fascinated with quantum technology and how it will impact the entertainment sector, and our society as a whole, ever since I took a Quantum Physics course and interned at the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics. I believe we are living in the Golden Era of Technology, and this rapid growth in this realm of humanity is both exciting and frightening.
