This is the third book about the architectural décor of St. Petersburg in this the other two are Sculptural Olympus of St. Petersburg by I.A. Rakov (2000) and Three Centuries of the St. Petersburg Sauna by I.A. Bogdanov (2000). Despite the obvious influence of foreign architecture on St. Petersburg, its architecture has its own unique style.
