The visuals throughout the book are outstanding. The author obviously took great care in choosing which items best illustrated certain eras, which I can imagine was no easy task. While I read the book all the way through, I have since found myself picking it up at intervals and enjoying different sections again and again. It is packed with lots of details and items you might not pickup on the first time through.
