Ronald Cardigan has scores to settle. Someone is pissing him off, and his heavies will have to go and sort him out. Plus, his daughter is still living at home, doing his head in, but a situation arises where he can get her out of his hair, and he takes it.
Jonathan Pembrooke finds himself married to someone he can’t stand, but if he backs out of the deal, Cardigan will kill him. He embarks on an affair, and the mother of the woman he’s seeing has an agenda involving Cardigan’s daughter…
Debbie runs The Angel and the ‘massage parlour’ behind it. She’s under Cardigan’s protection as his woman, so when someone comes along being rude to Shirley, one of the brothel girls, Debbie’s first instinct is to get him sorted. When things get out of hand and she’s faced with a shocking sight, she can’t keep quiet any longer.
Poison pen letters, crime, people being given second smiles. Life on The Cardigan Estate isn’t pretty.

I loved this one, yes it’s different to Emmy’s police procedural novels but it was still a gripping read.
Emmy’s forte is creating twisted characters and believe me when I say this book is sprinkled with them, one in particular and what they got up to left me wide-eyed and open-mouthed after I read one particular scene.
Ronald Cardigan is a man who drives a hard bargain and if people don’t do as he says, well you can imagine the outcome. Nasty piece of work who brokers a deal which involves his daughter.
A great read from start to finish. Emmy fans will not be disappointed.
This is the first book that I have read of this author as I love reading gangland crime novels.
This is the first book in the cardigan trilogy and is centred around revenge and hatred. We have heard of hell hath no fury like a woman scored. In this book we hear about hell hath you who has tried to take my man.
I enjoyed this book very much. A bit slow for me at first but that's always the case when I'm adjusting to a new author. Will definitely read more by Emmy Ellis in the future
First one in the series. It wasn't too bad took a little while tho get into. Now going tho start three one hopefully it won't take as long too get into
Got up this morning, knowing that I had jobs to do, yet somehow or other it's now 4.30, and I'm still in me jammas, sat on the sofa because I couldn't stop reading. I honestly don't know how to it, but you do it so Very very well.😇 I haven't even had a wee, I've just sat and read all day. Thank you for being so awesome, and yes I will down load the next book right now
When I first started to read this book I really didn't think it was that good but after reading a couple of chapters I really couldn't put it down .so many twists and tales .I would recommend this book and hope you all enjoy it s much has IV done .I have given this book 5stars also I have just ordered my next novel .
I don't read gangland crime novels much any more but Revenge - the first in The Cardigan Estate series - by Emmy Ellis is brilliant. I'd liken it to Gillian Godden (Yorkshire's answer to Martina Cole) meets the Queen of Crime herself. If you like books by Casey Kelleher, Emma Tallon, or Roberta Kray, you'll love this. I'm about to get stuck into Reprisal, the second title in the series.
Quickly becoming addicted to this authors books. She never disappoints. This the first in the series is gritty, pulling you into the characters and their lives. Looking forward to #2!
if you looking for a gritty gangland crime book look no further this book has it all greed revenge murder jealousy and a brilliant story cant wait to start 📚reading book 2 very talanted author
Loved the characters in this and the plot was gripping. I was invested from the first page and would have read it in one sitting if life didn’t get in the way. I’m so excited there are so many more in the series!
Absolutely loved this book. Got swept away with the antics of Debbie, Jonathan, Leona and Rebecca. Fast paced storyline kept me turning the pages. Can't wait to read more about the Cardigan Estate.
