This book is a manual for anyone looking to move their life in a positive direction. The book shares things that we can do in our lives to help move us in that direction. It's about knowing what those things are and then creating a practical discipline to do them. There's also a series of questions that help you ignite your wants and then create a plan to start doing them. The book talks about living directionally and living with a vision for your life.

Chapter four, Do What Works, talks about how asking for help is a sign of strength. Knowing where to go to get support can only make you better. The book provides coaching exercises in each chapter. The book conveys resilience and determination to keep going even if the steps are small. I also loved the beautiful photography and the little boxes where the author shared her personal story.

I got halfway through this book when I realized I just really didn’t like it. It honestly just didn’t make sense and seemed rather self-congratulatory. Poorly edited and poorly written, where paragraphs are disjointed and don’t seem to flow. So much so that there were times I would turn the page backward, certain I had missed a page. (I hadn’t, there was just no flow). I wanted really badly to like it, but it’s a no for me, dawg.

#Book #Takeaways :

- If it’s not right, go left. Our life is not only one direction.
- It’s only a problem if you make it a problem.
- Happiness is a series of good decisions.
- Everyone struggles, some problems are big and difficult, but most of the time we create problems for ourselves, and they’re not really problems.

I was curious to see what Glosserman’s life coaching philosophy was about after seeing her on a TV segment. Her 11 life lessons are very basic and there are way to many pointless photos of her in the book.

3.5 stars... some good ideas and good writing prompts, but far too many pics of the author that add nothing to the book.
