Mega-talented glass sculptor Chase Durand just scored the commission of a lifetime. The southern bayou's poshest new hotel is about to open with his art the star feature. His motorcycle-riding, bad-boy reputation perfectly fits the hotel's modern, edgy look. And when a drop-dead gorgeous IT engineer hard wires his high-tech art, her luscious curves ignite a fire in him that's hotter than molten glass. Between them, he sees a perfect pairing of minds...and bodies. What Autumn Rivette sees is danger. The minute she lays eyes on the sexy artist, her unruly desire screams for satisfaction. His arresting good looks and mammoth muscles make every nerve sizzle. Yet years in foster care taught her two lessons--trust no one and never get attached. Physical pleasure is one thing, but her heart is off limits. When her past threatens both their careers, it's time to learn to embrace the fire or to douse it forever...

I love this book! The characters, Autumn and Chase are so strong and the story so intriguing that it took no time at all for me to get hooked on Hot Bayou Fire!

This is a beautifully written story which steadily builds up speed to a point where I couldn’t read fast enough to find out what happens next! The steamy sex scenes are highly sensual, but despite the heat, they always maintain a strong sense of romance as there’s such an obvious emotional connection between Autumn and Chase.

I also enjoyed the setting in the Louisiana Bayou, which the author, Elizabeth Shore, brings to life with vivid descriptions. The hot and lush landscape serves as the backdrop for many of the heartfelt conversations between the characters, and adds to the already intimate atmosphere.

The easy-to-hate villain of the story, Maryanne, also deserves a special mention. She is a multidimensional character willing to do just about anything to destroy anyone standing in her way. She’s not only greedy, but intriguingly and deliciously conniving, willing to go further than I would’ve ever expected to get what she wants.

After reading the first book in the Bayou series, Hot Bayou Nights, I was delighted to discover that Ms. Shore had written this second installment. Now I’m already looking forward to the third part. Can’t wait!

four stars

Hot Bayou Fire tells the story of IT Autumn Rivette and artist Chase Durand’s hot and steamy romance ready to spark flames in our bodies.

Hot Bayou Fire tells the story of Autumn Rivette and Chase Durand’s steamy office romance. Unable to get their hands off each other, both Autumn and Chase must find ways to keep Maryanne, their boss, off their back, especially off Chase’s back.

I gave Hot Bayou Fire four stars, absolutely loving the chemistry between Autumn and Chase and the way they fit so well together and the fact that each interaction seemed to get steamier and steamier. Chase seemed to understand that Autumn has a few skeletons in her closet and I liked that he wasn’t pushy about it. He let Autumn tell him when she was ready and he was such an understanding hero and I loved the way he was caring and didn’t push Autumn to do things.

Autumn is such a fiery character and I love that she was strong and that she was always speaking her mind. She didn’t seem to be afraid to stand up for herself. I loved that she really grew throughout the story and slowly realized that Chase was different from everyone else she had let into her life.

There were a few things missing throughout the book but as an overall story I really enjoyed reading this. The plot seemed perfect for the story and I think that if you wanted to pick this book up, you definitely should, but be warned, this is definitely not a fluffy read.

Autumn is an expert in her field of IT who has been assigned to help Chase Freedon Durand get his art installed in the new hotel. Upon their first meeting Autumn thinks that he is as tall as a mountain, which I understood quite well. Short girl problems for the win!
Both characters are not afraid to stick up for themselves and have difficult pasts that have shaped who they are.
The tension feels real between them, especially with the situations they are put into, (who knew glass blowing could be so hot) So the relationship felt earned and not rushed which I appreciated.
I would highly recommend this book, now I'm off to discover what else this author has in store for me to read

Sweet hot read. I think my kindle melted from the sexiness. It was a quick easy read with no real scary drama. They are hot together for sure! There is a kind of instant attraction and togetherness, but it just works in this case.

Received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Fiery passion and drama:
I enjoyed the unique premise and combination of a glass artist falling for an IT specialist. Chase is a confidant, good looking, successful artist. Meanwhile Autumn has been hurt in the past and is skittish and fearful. When they begin working together things soon heat up and I'm not just talking about the glass making furnace! Add in an overly ambitious and unscrupulous co-worker and you have plenty of drama and intrigue too.
I liked how Autumn eventually came to realize that she was worthy of love and learnt to also give it in return. Overall a great book that will set your heart ablaze.

I voluntarily read a advanced reader’s copy of this book for a honest opinion.

Hot Bayou Fire by a new to me author Elizabeth Shore. A Very spicy book. It was only a okay book for
me. Didn't realize it was part of a series but it didn't take away from me reading the book and the storyline. It could still be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the settings and dialogue.
