Sargatanas and Astaroth have always viewed their relationship as purely professional, even if they've hoped otherwise. Playboy Astaroth skips out of work to flirt with girls, and Sargatanas keeps the office running while (violently) reeling him back in. But have their true feelings finally become too much to ignore? The fluffy demonic hijinks of Pandemonium are taking a turn for the dramatic...!
I know this volume probably deserved only three stars, but Sacchan’s character is one I relate to so much and I just love seeing her “crush” turn into something “real.”
This volume focuses primarily on Sargatanas and Astaroth. Our lovely couple go on the sweetest date after some deliberations but due to some misunderstandings there are some hiccups until they both confess their feelings for each other leading to a lifelong commitment. For some reason, this should’ve felt rushed to me, especially Astaroth’s feelings but it didn’t. I actually enjoyed every bit of the romance and drama while cheering them on!
Eurynome and Samyaza are a story that really needs more development and time because of Eurynome’s interests. However, it was interesting to see Eurynome blush towards Samyaza for his dedication and respect for her hobbies. I found it very cute and Samyaza is really a special character. He’s like one of those hidden characters that have their own quirk yet are supportive and perspective.
This was a lovely volume and I enjoy how things didn’t feel awkward or rushed. Although the series has been a slow progression so far the events and chapters have been leading up to the events in these last three volumes. Sargatanas feelings were believable and so were her insecurities. There really was no need for thought bubbles or explanations because it just made sense.
Overall, I enjoyed this volume more than the others but it’s piggybacking on the buildup from previous volumes. I loved the artwork as always and I found this volume more special because I could relate with Sargatanas and her various expressions were adorable. If you start this series, this volume is definitely not to miss or skip!
